I predict we will win 3-1 in spectacular fashion. We will then go on to beat whoever wins the Spain-Italy match in similarly spectacular fashion. Then we will go on to the final and play like s.hit against a mediocre German side. And the mediocre Germans will have done it again. lol.

Congratulations to the Russians! The better team won I must say, quite an impressive performance. The Russians showed great pace and counterattacking football, and they were still running after 120minutes as if the game had just started. Good job.

Don't think you figured out, the refs tend to be more rewarding to the favoured teams generally, mainly so that money rolls around a bit in different circles.

Everytime there was any doubt, the free kick went to the Russians, a red card was withdrawn and why? Even if the ball was out of the game, it was still a foul...
Ah well, the Russians still deserved to win, we played like crap.
As I said all the time, the Netherlands played above their level up till now. The Russians are getting better and better. In the end I didn't really care who won but sure as hell both teams deserved to go through to the semi-finals, Russia because of the way they played against the dutch and the dutch because they kicked so much arse.
One semi-final will be Russia vs Spain/Italy (I'm saying Italy) while the other one will be the very unimpressive Germany vs Turkey.

As I said, the current generation of Russian players is great.
Quite a year for Russia until now:
- Booming economy
- Increasing world influence under Putin/ Medvedev
- Zenit won the UEFA Cup
- Ice Hockey world champions
- Football Euro semifinalists
- Oh and most importantly, won the Eurovision song contest
