Four stabbed to death on same day (London)

Four men, including a teenager, were stabbed to death in London on Thursday.

A 19-year-old was killed in an attack in Edmonton, north London, while two men in their 20s died a few miles away in Leyton and Walthamstow, east London.

A man aged 42 was found fatally wounded in Tottenham High Road, Tottenham, north London.

The day saw further fatal stabbings in West Bromwich, West Midlands and Crosby, Merseyside. On Friday a man was wounded in north-west London.

He was left critically ill with wounds to his back and stomach after a stabbing in Brenthurst Road, Willesden.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the stabbings were shocking and promised further measures to tackle knife crime would be announced on Monday.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said this recent spate of stabbings "graphically illustrates the need for everyone to pull together to put an end to this unacceptable violence".

In the first of Thursday's fatal stabbings, Javengis Jaronis was found at the back of a squat in Tottenham High Road, where he lived, at about 0400 BST.

He had suffered head injuries and slash wounds.

At 1430 BST a 19-year-old youth was found by officers called to reports of a fight at a bedsit in Gloucester Road, Edmonton.

He was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and later died, becoming the 20th teenager to be killed in London this year.

Three hours later a 20-year-old man crashed his car in Downsell Road, Leyton, soon after being stabbed during a row with a group of men.

Later that night a man aged in his 20s was attacked in St David's Court near the junction of Wood Street and Forest Road in Walthamstow.

He was found with stab wounds to the head and chest and died about an hour later.

Sir Ian said: "I want to reassure the public that the MPS is doing everything possible both in terms of thoroughly investigating each case and in continuing to carry out proactive operations to get knives off the streets."

London Mayor Boris Johnson said: "I deeply regret that four Londoners have lost their lives in these tragic incidents. My thoughts are with the families of these men."

He added: "We need to do all we can to address the long term complex root causes of violence as well as ensuring the police are providing an effective deterrent to those who carry knives and guns.

"We are in this together and we all need to take responsibility.

"That's why we are talking to the government about bringing forward new measures next week that will help to address the underlying causes of knife violence."

According to the British Crime Survey (BCS), overall violent crime has decreased by 41% since a peak in 1995.

Knives are used in about 8% of violent incidents, according to the BCS, a level that has largely remained the same during the past decade.

But the BCS figures do not include under-16s, something which Home Secretary Jacqui Smith announced this month would change.

Two teenagers stabbed in assault

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital with stab wounds after an attack in north Kent.

Police said an assault took place inside a house in Ingram Road, Dartford, shortly after 1630 BST.

Neither youth suffered life-threatening injuries. One is under arrest. Police said the two are known to each other.

Officers were still at the house on Friday evening searching for forensic evidence and speaking to witnesses. The two are both in their late teens.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said officers were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

I'm waiting to see pictures of the victims because i can almost guarantee you that AT LEAST two of the four will be black. Then, when they catch them, i'd like to see the pictures of the the killers and i can almost guarantee you that AT LEAST two of them will be black.

In fact i'd like to see pictures of all 16 knifed to death this year in the capital and the picture of those that have been charged with their killings, have a wild guess what most of them will be.

I'm not saying that stabbings involving whites don't happen just that in the majority of cases in London (for thst matter the country in general) at the moment i think you'll find that a black is involved, either as the victim or the perpetrator or disturbingly often as both.

It's not only a good idea, it works. The US journalists used to be the same way-any police coming down on black criminals were accused of bigotry. The predominant white newspaper readers got tired of hearing it and stopped buying the rags. They got the message.

You don't hear that anymore in America. They report crime factually and without any 'journalist license' to make some left wing point. Blacks toe the line in America-at least when they leave their own districts and visit predominant white areas. They know they'll be held accountable for law breaking. Our police play it right down the line for the most part, without bias influencing their actions one way or another.

Britain needs a strong Conservative government and a leader who's not afraid to say it like it is. A little candor at top levels does wonders to shock people into behaving, IMO.

i used to live in tottenham for most of my teenage and early twenties i got into my first fight when i was around ten him 14 and bigger trying to stop this guy an english from bottling me he got throgh and i needed stitchs i went to the swimming baths next to the collage and thought i'd made a freind but i guess i was wrong.

my point though it doesnt matter if it was me it could have been anyones child back then .

my uncle wanted was gnna go with his mates and beat the whole family up in there house but i was scared and didnt want any trouble and didnt tell where he lived but the cops i told and went with was informed he didnt live there anymore and if i know what i know now id be revenged .

looking back i had others especially here in the street in oz and can see how easy it is to get into fights the last one was with six men whom thought this guy who ripd them off lived at my place i got a call from the clown that got riped and told him his main man hits like a pussy and they went to the wrong house.

i read somewhere i london if you see anyone being mugged or whatever ,to look after yourself and not to intervene.

ps did anyone watch the programmes on knife crimes last week on channel 4 those guys were carriying guns and they looked about 12 or 13

im sure far more people are killed each day in third world nations as for the stabings over here yea naturaly it is the blacks its the same all over the world, why is another question, i put it down to them watching 2much tv the vast majority of these stabbings occur to guys around my age, it mainly down to the fact that black lads dont like haveing jobs so they get involed in drugs, not one of my black friends have a job, yet my white friends are trainee accountants, quanity suvayors or in banking, its plain lazyness i have tryed to help my friends get work but when it actually comes down to them doing something for them selfs it just doesnt happen, they all expect to get rich quick instead of haveing to work for it and so they never get rich because they never work. bit of a cycle reli, as for the guys getting stabbed dont feel to bad for them they tend to be in the same postion them selfs selling drugs and such, and this is allways made apparant a few days after they are killed, street justice at its best they they do the polices job better than the cops, leave them to it i say one dead one in prison for 30years you cant loose.

Well its not that easy to get a job here in the UK. There is no such thing as "free", fool. You pay for it in taxes. The only people who benefit from national health care are those on the bottom end of the pay scale. If you're a well paid professional you end up paying for the poor folks. It's better to come to US and use the extra money you save to pay for your own health care and pocket the difference!

Yet surprise surprise, government report that came out last week has shown a general fall from last year. I also find that blaming blacks is a nice scape goat. I will make sure I punctuate properly in future Landos, I must admit I can get a bit lazy, I spend most of my working day typeing. As for moveing to America I am activly looking into it. As i work for HSBC it shouldnt be to hard to get a transfer how ever I am stuck in my current role for another 17 months before I could transfer, I also work in mortgages so I would have to brush up on US finiancle law plus it does appear to be a very good time to be a mortgage manager in the US at the mo due to the current finiancle climate over there. I prefer to US way of thinking work hard and get rich nuts to everyone else.
