New portuguese frigates in Den Helder

New portuguese ships in Den Helder harbour. On the right you see NRP "Bartolomeu Dias" F333 - note the different tone of grey.
The closest frigate, Van Galen, will become F334 - NRP "Francisco de Almeida" after the ship returns from its last mission on the Caribbean.

Interesting thought that Portugal will operate more Karel Doormans than the Netherlands soon. Take good care of them, will you?

the left ship seems to be about 50cm higher

are there any construction differences between the ships?

Perhaps it is carrying a heavier load? more fuel, etc...

They operate the Lynx.
