Different music categories but some how relate to each other since both have a great influence of break beats, electronic music and rock elements. Both are world renowned bands selling well over 20 million albums.

Rammstein is better, prodicgy are a bunch of retards.
But above that, i guess Metallica beats the **** out of any rock/trash/metal band. Just the quality is to them, Rammstein don't play guitars much, if you think about it, you hear only a few notes all over and about prodigy, ... they are a genre on their own. Electronic trash rock that sounds outdated today. Marilyn Manson is better than Prodigy, for example. It's sounds will be cool in 2025, unlike Prodigy, I think.
The time tells how good a band is.

ofc its all a matter of taste
but imo Prodigy is better.
About the Prodigy having a expiration date, nah voodoo people, breath, smack my bitch up are timeless and are
remixed all over the world. Been to the 'I love techno' festival last weekend in Ghent, Belgium; Prodigy samples and mixes got the crowd moving like it was the '90s.

Not a massive fan of dance music in general but the Prodigy kick arse compared to most of the faggy electro house disco synth crap that seems to be taking over the airwaves here in Aus. I don't think prodigy music will be easily forgotten, it's still loved by many people who weren't even old enough to be aware of it when it first came out like todays teenagers.
I always thought Rammstein sounded like what would happen if a bunch of orcs from the lord of the rings movies picked up instruments. Funny thing is whilst they are considered quite cool here, Germans have told me that it's music for 14yr old boys to listen to whilst locked away in their rooms (wanking). But then again these germans already had a terrible taste in music, mostly R&B, beyonce stuff that they thought was "cool" so i am hesitant to trust their judgement completely.

Prodigy all the way. Rammsteins lyrics are just poor.

Comparing apples with oranges, aren't why? Prodigy, Rammstein and Metallica?
Prodigy are a genre of their own as someone correctly mentioned. Rammstein is Industrial Metal, probably the definition of the genre as well. Metallica is a legend who started as Thrash Metal, then moved on to more Southern elements, made a Nu/Hardcore attempt with an album and just now is going back to its roots.
Frankly, no point in comparing any 2 of the three with each other, they all apply to specific tastes.
BTW, Rammstein are a German band, not Greek (it says "GR" on the title)

Prodigy has few killer songs. Rammstein generally has more good songs.
But I do prefer H-Blockx the most from all of the German band.

I understand some German, and Rammestein has a few songs that are excellent, but a lot of Rammestein songs just are.. okay. But The Prodigy on the other hand have countless hits. And I just prefer a nice electronic beat, and The Prodigy has really fast paced songs that I love
NOT only she is NOT gay but i'd have her to make her toasts any time if i could...
Germany produced a few decent metal bands, including Scorpion which arent bad by any standards, not to mention some pretty good alternative bands.

The Oldschool Stuff with Prodigy was farking FANTASTIC!!!
I think their album was the first I ever really bought
Just after hearing their track "Firestarter" on the Wipeout videogame.
The game and the music blew me away.
The newschool bullsh1t prodigy has done simply is the worst peace of **** ever
Sadly they have gone "Soft" and the old prodigy is dead.
Rammstein on the other hand, first time I heard them was on the Original sound Track of The Matrix (1999).
It's still one of my all time favourite albums, the "DU HAST" Track was just pure Awesomeness.
Unlike Prodigy, Rammstein has gotten better and better with time, from "Mutter" to their latest album,
just pure gold.
Rammstein WINS, because they have improved with time, prodigy unfortunately took the wrong path.

"Compared to American metal, Europe is ages behind. Stick to electronic/trance/house music. You do that well. Leave the rest to us. "
Chossmeli got there before me, but I also have to add that Finland alone kicks major US ass when it comes to metal, any day of the week, let alone all Scandinavian countries. You don't even have to include the entire European metal scene.
USA used to be brilliant in this field up until the early 90ies, but nowadays, with the exception of some mammoth legends such as Metallica, Megadeth, etc., Europe leads the way by light-years.
