4 new nuclear floating plants are to be constructed in Siberia

Four floating nuclear plants are designed to be installed in North East Siberia, Yakutia Republic in the agreement between the Federal Atomic Energy Authority and local authorities to notify local authorities last Wednesday.



"The implementation of this plan will make possible to reduce significantly the costs of fuel distribution for the existing material energy system and increase the quality and reliability of energy supplies, taking into account the industrial development of northern Yakutia" said the representative of Government of the Republic.



The floating nuclear plants will be located in four regions of Yakutia is estimated to be operational between 2013-2015, the official continued.



The investment for this project is estimated at current prices to rise to over 30 billion Rubles, ($ 838 million). There are also plans for participation of private capital.

   Russia is a country which never ceased to surprise me, amidst a huge financial crisis they continue to plan for their future making big and coherent plans like a superpower. Under the current leadership of Russia despite the many problems present we have to recognize that those people do not lack the strategic planning , ideas, and will to invest in order to become a big power again assuming their role as big military and energy power in the international arena i was just hoping that Greece would follow just  a 10% of their example so we could cover our huge energy needs, we need to enter the era of nuclear power by constructing a plant which will provide cheap energy to the citizens but it seems that while Russia is working to enstrengthen their position as a big energy power, the Greek politicians are sleeping.
