Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

LOL american cry babies.

We Germans lost some 3 Mio civilians due to the barbaric bomardements of you coward americans.

You attacked our women and children from the air, instead of encoutering us on the battlefield.

BTW the Russians lost 14 Million soldiers and they never asked for "respect".

LOL american cry babies.

Yes, White, Americans are cry babies.

We Germans lost some 3 Mio civilians due to the barbaric bomardements of you coward americans.

Just Americans, White? Its funny then, that when the time came to surrender, that Germans flocked to try to surrender to the Americans even over the British. I wonder why that is?

You attacked our women and children from the air, instead of encoutering us on the battlefield.

Actually, we did both. After Kasserine Pass, you can count German victories over Americans on the fingers of one hand. That is hardly a coincidence, my arrogant German friend. As to bombardment being cowardly, those brave German warriors showed us the way with Guernica, Warsaw and Rotterdam. History isnt your forte, is it? Before you spout your neo-Nazi excrement, you really should educate yourself.

BTW the Russians lost 14 Million soldiers and they never asked for "respect".

I guess thats why they threaten their formal vassal states when they try to remove tributes to the Red Army, right?

Being an American of European descent, mostly German, Scots and English, I am thankful that my ancestors had the courage to leave Europe and brave the New World. Americans have repaid their debt to Europe many times over, however. I certainly will not let some neo-Nazi scum who absent America would probably be speaking Russian instead of German lecture me on cowardice.

Certianly as dictatorial Nazi Germany fire bombed others they should have expected a likewise response , with that said had I been Churchill I would have stopped the bombing of Dresden and concentrated on military targets on the Western front not helping the Soviets, since the war was practicly over I would also if being Truman have tried to negotiate with the japanese to surrender some more and give them some more chance to aviod the nuclear attack. Although it should be noted that far more japanese civilians died of conventional bombings then the two nuclear ones and the dictatorial japanese regime didn`t exactly care for civilian life among those it where fighting.

But it is just in being more civil democratic and moral nations like United States and Great Britain could take resolve and force out of and had they been even more concentrated in reducing collatteral damage and cultural in the last months of the war when the outcome was already certain they would have been even more praised and remembered for their great democratic victory concerning Western Euripe which ofcourse they to a great deal are but one step more.

But it is ofcourse always easier to stand aside and be moralistic when not caught into the war and all the emotions of hate and revenge it can create

The vikings did behave badly in the 700s and for that I apologise
