I would say this is now possible in the moment or in the future. This will never happen and if this happen this will lead to the destruction of the EU.

Why?

Most of all, because the foreign policy of Germany and the english satellite states within the union.

1. Germany new foreign policy (after WW2) demend of reducing of the french influence over their foreign policy by useing the english. The new german foreign policy have one golden rule - always to avoid a threat from the west. This mean she must use both UK and France to take what she wants and this strategy works brilliantly (remember the unification of Germany).

2. The english use their advance diplomacy to politicaly "enslave" many "small" european countries (not necessery to be an EU members).

Because of this, no matter how strong the peoples of Europe wish this country to get out from the EU, there will not exist such a possibility.
