Hey, fellow Toni fans, I found this article in Ming Na's blog site while surfing the internet looking for articles about Antoinette. For everybody's info: Ming Na is one of the asian actress who starred in the popular Hollywood Film "The Joy Luck Club". Actually, I'm not sure if what I've found was her official site, anyway, she has some news bits there that include Toni, naalala niyo ba yung article dati na nagsabi na Toni sang in an event there in the states recently, ito yata yung tinutukoy nilang event... Na-mention lang naman yung name ni Toni pero ipopost ko na rin para makita nang lahat...
Awards night & closing ceremony for the Los Angeles Asian & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month
at the South Lawn of the Los Angeles City Hall
The closing ceremony will feature exciting entertainment featuring talented API performers and cultural presentations, enticing exhibits, and delectable food coordinated by our very own CECILIA DE CASTRO, CCP (she is the right hand of Wolfgang Puck and is a wonderful chef). The entertainment, produced and directed by TED BENITO of TDRZ Productions ("Songs for a New World", "Dogeaters", etc.), will also feature a fashion show coordinated by Ms. CARMELA LEELIN. The event is FREE, adults only preferred.
Celebrities who will attend include Kelly Hu, Ming-Na, John Cho, Leyna Nguyen, Jennifer Paz, Harlemm Lee, Dessa, Antoinette Taus, the cast of "Imelda: The New Musical," and Bob de Castro. We are also waiting for confirmation from Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Tia Carrere, Lou Diamond Phillips, Tamlyn Tomita, George Takei, Dean Cain, and a host of others!
It has been an honor and privilege to coordinate this event again this year for the City of Los Angeles. I hope that those of you who are free and in the area are able to make it!
