Burlington acquires Drew McAvoy

The Cougars are pleased to announce the acquisition of veteran blue liner Drew McAvoy from the Golden Horseshoe League Champion Thorold Blackhawks. At 6’4” 215 lbs, Drew combines physical play with offensive production as evident by his 13 goals, 28 points and 152 PIMS. The 20-year-old brings Major Junior experience and previously playing parts of two seasons with the Ice Dogs in the OHL.

As we sign returning players we will announce them. That will likely happen once training camp starts August 13th.
