"The Blades roll on winning 5-3 against the Derbys. Ryan Murphy's sixth and seventh goals of the campaign led Oakville to the win. Streetsville's scoring leader Brandon Pirri was held pointless but Mike Derenzis had two goals"

not sure if it was misread or changed after the game but it was 5-4 Derenzis had a hat trick and pirri had 2 assists

i smell something fishy

I was going off the unofficial final but how does the inputter miss a goal scored seven minutes from the end of the game?! Pirri did not have an assist on the second goal by Derenzis originally but there can be changes after the fact.

Oh no say it aint so.

Pirri getting points added after the fact.

That would be the 3rd game that I have witnessed that, one game 2 assists were added.

Look at his stats as of October 7th

"Points per game and powerplay stats etc.

Blake Boddy, Ajax GP 6 Pts. 18 Avg. 3.00
Brandon Pirri, Streetsville GP 10 Pts. 28 Avg. 2.80"

Today GP 12 Pts 32

Yet he has only had 3 points in those 2 games.

Okay, okay, I know the answer. They just added an assist to his Georgetown (away) game. It was a legitimate assist though & added almost a week later.

I just wonder if the GM of Streetsville would have made that effort for other players on the team. He didn't correct the points his son was credited with last year at other players expense. Even when caught on tape.

Toronto are still tied at the top of the Central with St. Mike's as they beat Cobourg 5-3 Sunday. Daniel Hnatko staked them to a 2-0 lead and later added an assist. Patrick Jobb had two goals and three points for the couagrs who entertain the Red Wings in the only Monday night contest.

I was at the game in Streetsville and Pirri DID NOT record a point nor should he have been given any. What a total joke!

unreal how people can stoop so low to put up phantom points! Isn't the 2 refs on the ice enough? What about the players that are álmost'on the top ten...legitimately. What about the players that are in the OJHL with no ties to no one at all (owners, gm's, coaches...you know what I mean) - and they are there up in the top ten on their own merit. Has anyone looked into those stats - how many of the top ten players that don't have the 'ties' & they are there for the love of the sport. After reading many of the forum topics, it sounds like these phantom points are more often than not - what is it saying for the credibility of the OJHL... It should NOT be allowed to add points after the game is through - especially when the videos prove it. Good Luck to the players who are genuine and sincere in their efforts!

Hey Flatu,

Do you not find it odd that after being exposed with the video last year, Streetsville no longer posts their game highlights. Any wonder the boy wonder is having such an incredible year, . Very Interesting, Very Interesting.

I always was led to believe in hockey, the refs decision is final and the refs decision can not be changed. Yet, in the words in an earlier post by Hammer, someone who is very familiar with game sheets, team staff can make changes to the game sheet. It must be nice when Daddy is on the team staff. What the HELL is the point then in even keeping stats? The league is a JOKE how they allow this to happen and it's not just with Streetsville. I have witnessed this first hand with other teams and have even seen a rightfull goal scorer lose his goal because of this nonsense. Another issue is players who skate up to the refs after goals are scored and yell their numbers for assists. It's sad to see yet rampant throughout the league. The league should mandate the refs to only award the points as they see them and penalize any player who tries to claim an assist. If after a game, staff wants to make a change, video evidence should be produced. SHAME on the league and SHAME on any staff or player who tries to steal a point they did not earn.

I don't know if it's still the same, but apparently last year the person doing the scoresheets at the Streetsville games was Pirri's brother.

As mentioned above it's not just altering of the game sheets but also players telling the refs they got an assist when they did not (or GM's for their kids benefit). Some players have too much character to argue or correct their missed assist. Some others have no integrity whatsoever & would screw anyone for their own benefit.

Last year Daddy Pirri wanted the points to help convince his potential OHL club & NCAA scouts of his abilities. Now it's his big draft year, nothing is going to stop Daddy from doing whatever he can to try & convince whomever he can of what a star his son is. It will get much worse in Streetsville, keep your eyes open & to the other players on the team, watch your backs.

Flatu, I guess the brother is not needed any more as time keeper as the league allows staff to alter official game sheet results. I laughed at an earlier comment that suggested it could not be happening because many of the points come from road games. I guess that theory no longer holds true.

One of their leading goal scorers is unceremoniously traded to Huntsville.

Anyone in return?

I wonder if the October 13 2008, 12:59 PM post had anything to do with it.

So what else is new

No score for this post
October 27 2008, 4:37 PM

As of last night

Baker 15 GP 6 G 14 A 20 Pts

As of today

Baker 15 GP 6 G 17 A 23 Pts

An assist was added today to Pirri's overtime goal last night & 2 assists were added to the game against Brampton this past Thursday.

Too bad Derenzis lost the assist on Streetsville's third goal & Chiapetta lost an assist on the 4th goal but it's a sacrifice you must make for the boys, ....... I mean the team.

Oh well, Pirri is leading in points with the league & Baker is 2nd in points for Defence. Just following the leader by 1 point & playing in 3 less games. So the team is in 29th overall, who cares mission accomplished.

Can the players speak up?

Remember, watch your backs.

i heard a rumour through the grape vines that the girl who works the time box in streetsville is his gf? no idea if this is true though. Sounds kind of like the george bush election a few years back when he had someone on the inside of everything that could help him out. Pirri = George Bush

i have witnessed this kid play. i am not going to rip him apart but he is infact a slightly above average player. i have never in 15 years of being in this league seen a player score so many illegitimate points in my life. this has to be stopped, pirri is just the ring leader in a bundle.

If you get a look at the cleaned up Zapruder film and really concentrate on the grassy knoll, you can just make out Pirri as the second shooter.

This is getting ridiculous. The team of monkeys are working overtime I see.

So that's why they don't want any fans at the games...fewer witnesses!!!

Totally false rumour but I heard that Pirri wasn't dressed and got 3 points! This kind of talk must stop.
