I just saw Stamkos play tonight and he just got his 1st point. If somebody of that caliber is having troubles putting up points, then I can't imagine Pirri being rated very high if at all. Any good scouts will see that his point totals are inflated and he is soft.

Yeah, because playing the the NHL and OP ... similer.
In fact some OP teams could probably beat the LA Kings and other low end NHL teams, but jest a few OP teams.

The "o" maybe, just need to find a team that will give him the kind of ice time he is getting now if they expect for him to get some points. This is the problem with Dad as GM. The numbers this kid has are awesome, but the asterisk is massive.

NHL mid-term rankings my ass. I bet there has not been one single scout out to one of their games. I wounder how this kid would do 1v1 vs Miller, McQuade, or Rodrigues who are all top players in this league. Wait, I believe the term is called rape.

I haven't seen Pirri play but I have to say the most talented player that I have seen in Junior A in a long time is a kid named Matt Smyth who play's for the Couchiching Terriers, great skater with a big league shot. He is a former 1 st rounder of Brampton's, this kid can flat out play, I don't know why he isn't in the OHL right now but can play there any day.

Pirri to the OHL? I highly doubt it. His dad would probably go into shock without being able to control icetime, team & line-mates & of course points.

With respect to being on the Players to watch list. (I remember Fenwick being on there as well). You don't have to be scouted to get on that list. He would most certainly be put on it even if based only on his Gretzkyesque scoring production. How much longer before Baker gets on it.

I said it just a few days ago.

"Pirri is leading in points with the league & Baker is 2nd in points for Defence. Just following the leader by 1 point & playing in 3 less games. So the team is in 29th overall, who cares mission accomplished."

Pirri got two goals in a pre-tournament game for Canada East in Lac La Biche, Alberta last night as they beat Portage College 7-1. Greg Miller, Jeremy Franklin and Marty O'Grady also scored. Andrew Hare stopped 10 shots in a half a game.

I don't think his dad is involved or he would have had 5 assists to go with the 2 goals.

Then again his dad may add them next week.

Shots were 45-15, & 50-22 in the other game, must have been competitive.

Must have been pretty competitive since only one player managed to score two goals.

Do you really think games with 45-15 shots are competitive? If you do one of those numbers must be your IQ.

That's awesome Estock! It's good that you have a new hero. Maybe if you suck up to the dad he'll let you sit with him at a practice or something & be your friend.

From 19th to 34th in one year as GM all the way up to 29th so far this year, just .009 points ahead of Upper Canada.

Daddy's in control!!!

Some of you guys just don't get it.

Did I ever say Pirri is not offensively talented?

No

What do I think of the rest of his game?

Do I think he is an offensive star?

Not really.

Do I think he has been rewarded numerous phantom points?

Hell Yes.

Ask some of the parents or teammates about the assist when he wasn't even on the ice against Bramalea.

Do I think his dad orchestrates everything from points to icetime?

Damn Right.

Do I think his dad has consistently manipulated his sons hockey at the expense of probably 100's of other kids over the last 10 years without the slightest care of the other kids hockey future?

Yup

How many players from their 2006-2007 season where they ended 19th overall would still be eligible to play on this years team?

19

How many are still there?

ZERO

How many coaches have they had in the last year & a half?

This is their 5th.

Now you get to answer a few of my questions.

If you need help maybe ask some other 1991 born kids. They have been around them for about 10 years. (The 91 kids will probably just shake their heads & chuckle)

How long have you been around the Baker & Pirri show?

Would the GM be happier with a 4-1 win & his son gets zero points or a 10-3 loss & his son gets 3 points?

If Streetsville had the opportunity to add some great players that could bring them to 1st place, but it would mean that the GM & Owner's sons would no longer be on the 1st line & 40 + minutes of ice & rarely see power play time would they try to aquire those players?

Another one bites the dust.

That makes 6 in a year & a half. Ouch, maybe the dad will have to take over, everyone else is incompetent.

Lets not blame the GM for getting it wrong 6 times.
