On my only trip to Dixie there was a very small crowd that must have been disheartening for the team. But I must say I thought they made an admirable attempt to do things right. I left impressed by their dedication but saddened by the local apathy. I would add that the atmosphere was still 100 times better when I saw the franchise in Oswego, which was just awful. Not much better in Syracuse.

The player in question did play for those two clubs however I don't think his stats were that bad and he did well in Vaughan

GP G A PTS PIM PPG PPA SHG SHA GWG
2008/2009 Dixie 9 0 3 3 10 0 1 0 0 0

2007/2008 Vaughan 29 6 13 19 40 0 2 0 2 0
2007/2008 Durham 16 12 2 14 12 3 0 0 0 1
TOTALS 54 18 18 36 62

This palyer should have been able to help Dixie however when players are being played to have equal time (rumor/word of mouth) then yeah I can see players getting frustrated. Especially if players ask to be moved and sit waiting for a trade

must be pretty bad when the owners kid quits the team!!!
i bet the coach breathed a sigh of releif when that happened as he now doesn't have to find the ice time.
the owner must be really looking in the mirror these days as having spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for his kid to play hockey and the kid walks!! creditors chasing him , lawsuits to be dealt with, god knows what else and his kid quit!
epitome of spoiled brat!!!!!

Collavechia walks off. Coaches kid lives on the ice. We took a school bus up north . Best player gets ripped off of ice time. Defense is awful. We owe thousands to everyone. We lost to worst team. Help us !!!!! Get me outta here. Things will get worse and worse.

maybe you ARE the worst team. too many distractions to be focussed on the ice.will not get better and will probably get worse. villanova at least has stable ownership and will improve. once quinn gets his kid a scholly or goes to the o its all over as they really cant attract quality in coaching or players. will be sold or fold.great fries though!!

Collavechia leaving is really no loss!He appeared to be more of a distraction than an asset.Too bad 'cause the kid has skill but we all know it takes more than that to be benefit a team.Surprised he lasted this long anyway, with his track record he should have been LONG gone.Good luck to him.

flat u late
you are probably right as who else would buy any but a few of these teams.
dixie is the same as a lot of teams.
daddy owners and coaches that think they will be able to draw 4 or 500 a night and at worst break even. then when reality hits and they realize they are going in the red for six figures they dont have the money or their accountant tells them how stupid it was to get involved in the first place.
in this economy im not sure that it will be as easy as it has been in the past to dump one of these even to a rich parent coming along.
quinn will be out as soon as his kid gets a deal and the kid can play and it wouldn't surprise me to see him moved at the deadline so he can experience a good playoff run. dixie will be lucky to get in at all ind if they do its four straight .

'Quinns kid get a scholly or move on ', ...... wow, this player of ours has the most giveaways per game by far. More icetime than than any other player by a mile, and no points since the owner keeps tabs on the game sheet. He the gameshould be our 4 or 5 d at best.... Daddy plays him as number 1, and gives him an A ! jokes..... come on coach
