Huntsville look to make it seven wins in a row at home and would like to stay tied with the Tigers as they host Dixie. They shut them out 3-0.
The Tigers face MacKinnon opposition in the form of the Vipers. I'll call an upset here 4-2 Vaughan..he says boldly knowing that Aurora has won their last ten at home.
Bowmanville goes out of the Division to Burlington where they get a rough reception and go down 5-2.
Milton look to solidify their hold on fourth as they blast the Blues of Bramalea 7-1.

A 4-1 win for Burlington at the Wave..as in 'wave if you can see the ice from there'..over the Eagles in interlocking play. Andrew Hare, beaten only by Dru Douglas, saved 37 shots for the win. In reply the Cougars could only muster 14 but four went in. Dan Krug's eleventh of the season was the game winner.
The Icehawks were in cruise control at the Memorial Arena with a 10-3 thrashing of the Blues of Bramalea. Justin Basso had two goals and four points, Skylar Ell and Mac Whalen got a couple each and Jamie Hawkrigg added four assists. A whopping 144 minutes in penalties! Milton have a big lead in that regard over all the other teams in the League.
The Blades remain tied for first in the MacKinnon after beating the Chargers 5-2 with Julian Cimadamore having two for the victors.
A shoot-em-up in Lindsay where the Muskies tied 6-6 after two scored four unanswered in the third for the win. Kody Musselman got the hat trick. Jesse Biduke had two goals and four points in his first game.
The Stars got by the Fury at the Evinrude after building up a 3-0 bulge only to see Whitby get two back but the home team held on for the win 4-2 with an empty-netter by Mac Balson. Brad Gehl's first of the season in four games was the winner.

The Tigers were upset at home and lost there for the first time this season by the Vipers of the MacKinnon Division 6-3. Doug Clarkson led Vaughan with two.
Not too much trouble for the Otters at the Jack Bionda Arena where Ryan Williams shutout the BeeHives 7-0. Rob Waddell scored twice and Jon Whitelaw tallied four assists. The Otters are now number two in the Ruddock.
The Crush keep up with the leaders in the Phillips beating Upper Canada 4-1 at Alder Street. Daniel Goyette was responsible for the game winner late in the first period. Mike Arnold got his club-leading fifteenth goal, a shorthanded effort.
It was a low-scoring affair for the Central the Dukes leap over the Buzzers with a 3-2 win there. Down 3-1 in the last minute Greg Miller tallied for St. Mike's but they could not get another.
He scores, he scores...after going all season, two dozen games, without registering a goal, during which time he racked up 34 assists, Cody Wilson scored tonight for the Wings in Markham. Bruce Crawford got the first goal of the game and his first as a Red Wing but the visitors then fell afoul of the Waxers vaunted powerplay as the home side scored four straight by that route, two off the stick of Bryan Potts. Crawford added another in the second. Final 6-4 Waxers and they are now tied for first with Hamilton.

You called it Ron. Last goal came with about a second left. Not the most entertaining game of late-lots of minor penalties to disrupt any flow. Also lots of bench chirping. Solid game at both ends of the rink for VIPERS Captain Doug Clarkson.

The Collingwood Blues defeated the Knights of Villanova 3-1 with two coming from the stick of Paul Stewart, one into the empty net. These were the first goals of the season for the Kincardine native. Jonathan McQueen got win number nine stopping 22 shots.

Looks like this year's edition of the Milton Icehawks are the 'Broad Street' or should I say 'Thompson Road Bullies'. As of now they have accumulated 755 penalty minutes, well over a half an hour a game average. Mac Whalen leads the charge with a whopping 122 minutes in the box but he has a solid back-up group. Rock-em, sock-em hockey or too much goonery?

I guess the Tigers wil find out how tough the Icehawks are tomorrow afternoon in Aurora. The Cats won the 1st game with Milton in Milton about a month ago. I don't recall any real toughness coming out of the Icehawks in that one. Maybe tomorrow will be different, whatever the Tigers will be ready for them.

Actually tomorrow's game between Aurora and Milton will be a battle between the most penalized team Milton against the least penalized team Aurora.
At this point Milton has 755 PIM to Aurora's 371 PIM.
I know Wellington at present has 289 PIM however I'm assuming with 5 to 7 games to catch up, the Dukes will have to chock up a few PIM during their catch up period.
No question the Tiger/Icehawks game tomorrow will an interesting one from a PIM point of view.
I wonder if a team's PIM is checked by the officials before a game and if so, would it influence their calls?
