They don't have any size or toughness on this team. They get pushed around too much and take bad penalties. This team needs to be more disciplined and stay out of the penalty box. They have some speed but not much scoring ability to go with it. Really need to change their philosophy on how they need to play the game.

Have you seen their defense? They are arguably the biggest in the league as a group. Only 1 is smaller than 5'10 (Nyberg) and from what i have seen he is one of the best defensemen in this league.
I will give you that they are a little smaller upfront but these kids work hard. Some added "sandpaper" would be good, but on most nights they are pretty exciting to watch....

Aside from DaSilva who is what 6'5'' and Nyberg who is 5'10", the rest of the defence is average in size. I'm not sure that qualifies as biggest in the league. Their goals against is pretty high and yes they can score goals. But in the last 5 games they are 1 & 4, GF 16 and GA 24. Exclude their one win 6-2 and they are 10 GF and 22 GA. Overall their forwards are small, maybe they are exciting to watch but it doesn't win many games. Yes they need some grit and size up front to make room for the other forwards to score. They seem to be able to beat the teams below them in the standings, but do struggle against the teams above them in the standings. I see Burlington handing them another defeat.

In Brampton vs. Burlington. Biggest problem with Caps is toughness...way too soft. They have a kid Rhys who carried them but wasn't dressed? His games played is way down according to pointstreak. So...Traded? Suspended...not sure. No one else to fill the role. Dasilva is big but soft. At 6'5" he should be stepping up but doesn't.

A single point was enough to put the Cougars in first in the MacKinnon as they lost in overtime 4-3 to the Capitals. With a half a minute left in the extra time Chris Muise netted the winner for Brampton. It was his second of the game and his 23rd. of the season. Burlington left it very late in this one as Phil Brewer got the tying goal with his goalie out and eleven seconds left on the clock in the third.
No contest in Kingston where the Voyageurs downed the Panthers 9-0 and Shawn Sirman stopped 34 shots for the shutout, his second of the campaign. Ben Power led the winners with a pair. The Vees now lead the Ruddock by two points.
North York got past the Fury 5-2 in Whitby. Brendan Wise's eighth of the season in the second was the winner.
Pity the Spirit. They were hammered again tonight, this time at home 9-2 by the Waxers. Markham had four in each of the first two periods and cruised to the win. Giancarlo Iuorio had three for the visitors and two more were added by Bowman Webster, each one also contributing an assist.
It doesn't seem too long ago that the Buzzers were in first place in the Central, now they are in sixth and the Hurricanes, victors tonight 3-1 are in a third place tie with the Dukes , albeit having played seven more games. A powerplay goal by Jonathan Pietramala, only his third of the season, broke a 1-1 tie late in the second and then early in the final frame came another powerplay goal to seal it off the stick of leading scorer Chad Sumsion. Jimmy Sarjeant stopped 36 shots to record the win.
