POWER RANKINGS
Previous weeks rankings in brackets

1) Georgetown (1)- Georgetown had a strong week, going 3-0, while defeating a very strong Orangeville club, followed the next night with a win over the slumping Aurora Tigers. These wins help to solidify the Raiders as the top team half way through the season. The addition of Brandon Pirri, and his 6 points in 3 games, makes the Raiders even stronger.

2) Couchiching (2)- Couchiching was defeated in overtime by the Vipers on Monday night. This loss followed two wins during the week. They remain the #2 team despite the loss due to their record and the fact that they have only lost 1 game in regulation. The Terriers sit number one in GAA, which is crucial during the playoffs.

3) Oakville (3) - with Oakvilles wins over Milton and a Pirri-less Streetsville, the remain the #3 team. Once again, they must look to defeat Georgetown if they want to win the division. Lots of season left!

4) Kingston (5) - perfect 3-0 week for Kingston pushes them up one position. They are quietly becoming a top team in the league and they will look to continue their run this week.

5) Huntsville (4) - Won one and lost a game in overtime in a home-and-home with Collingwood, a team they should have swept. Shutout for Williams on Saturday, as he looks to get the Otters on a winning streak.

6) Lindsay (9) - The Muskies have a perfect week that gets them to 6th spot in this weeks power rankings. Tough road ahead for the Muskies, but if they can get on a roll before Christmas, watch out! Could be a threat come playoff time.

7) Hamilton (10)- Not only did they gain a strong scoring threat in McGrail, they also ousted the Dukes at home. Worthy of moving them up in the rankings. Question mark remains at the goaltending position. As well, the Red Wings will need to remain consistent throughout the season to hold off the Dukes. They have enough scoring forwards to fill an All-Star team, but will they be able to distribute ice team equally to all of their scorers?

8) Wellington (8)- could have moved up to a top five team this week, but since they were smoked by the Red Wings, the remain in 8th. Wins against Newmarket and Toronto made them favourites to win the division, but Hamilton will continue to knock on the door. I am still unsure what the results of the central will be, but a battle between Hamilton and Wellington is likely.

9) Aurora (6)- the struggling Tigers won one game this week accompanied by two losses. Once apon a time they were the team to beat in the league, but since they lost their coach, they have been falling. Look for them to rebound this week and try to stay within reach of the division leaders.

10) Burlington (7)- a timid week for the Cougars, as they lost to the Capitals 4-3 and were only able to beat the reeling Chargers 4-3. I cant see them winning the division, and a third place looks to be theres. Andrew Hare is dynamite!

11) Markham (11)- smoked Stouffville and St. Michaels by a combined score of 17-5. They will be in the race will Hamilton and Wellington in the central. They do not have the firepower that the Red Wings or Dukes have, so a third place finish may be in the books.

12) Peterborough (13)- only played one game this week, in which the cruised past the Attack of Ajax 10-2. The dominance moves them up a spot. They look to continue to roll this upcoming week.

13) Vaughn (NR)- How about them Vipers! A four game winning streak and 4th in the MacKinnon. Dorian Peca is tearing it up! They have depth up front and an easy week ahead of them. Look for Vaughn to move up the rankings.

14) Toronto (NR)- given the 14th spot due to the tough division they play. Need to be more consistent as they defeated Hamilton, and then fell asleep to lose to Cobourg. Paul Rodrigues is on a roll and contending for the scoring race. Need to pick it up if they want to win the Central

15) Orangeville (12)- lost to Georgetown and defeated Dixie 2-0. Not an overly impressive week by any standards drops them 3 top # 15. Will have to hold on to be in the rankings next week!

Kusa, first of all, thanks for all the effort you have put out to come up with these rankings.

My only change would be to rank Markham ahead of Wellington based on the result of their last meeting.

Other then that, keep up the great work and thanks again.

Now that's the way to do Power Rankings, fantastic job Kusa! And I don't say that because "our" hometown Raiders are in first either! More to the point Kusa has explained why teams have been elevated or designated to a lower position based on their weekly performances, the way it should be!

A great deal of thought and effort have gone into Kusa's evaluations, which is far sight more than what can be said for the rankings that we've previously received! Thanks again Kusa, your efforts are sincerely appreciated!

I sincerely hope that all of our forum dwellers here "In The Cage" take the time to review this outstanding report! But then again if you're reading this thread, chances are you've already read Kusa's evaluations prior to getting this far!

It's contributions such as Kusa's that make this forum such a favorable place to visit! Again one of "OUR" team mates has gone beyond the call of duty to benefit "The Cage"!

Very well done Kusa!
