Here are my weekly rankings of the Top 10 OP teams.

Top 10 OJHL teams

1. Georgetown - Playing very well of late. It looks to me that the Raiders are in the midst of another long winning streak.

2. Couchiching - The winning streak comes to an end and so does the ride at #1.

3. Oakville - Won the two games on the weekend, but they were not tough games. Remain third.

4. Huntsville - They lost to the Blues, but came right back and shut them out the next night. They also beat North York.

5. Aurora - Back to back losses, 3-4 over the last seven, this team may be in trouble. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they will right the ship and not rank them lower.

6. Hamilton - Still the top team in the Central, but they are a puzzle. Need to put together a win streak to move up.

7. Kingston - Out of their funk. I will wait to see how they do in the back to back against Peterbough.

8. Markham - On a six game win streak in which they defeated Wellington and Hamilton.

9. Lindsay - A couple bounce back wins against beatable opponents are enough to hold ninth, but not enough on their own to begin the climb back to the top. It is a start however.

10. Wellington - Hamilton made a statement with the 6-1 win over the Dukes in the Hammer, but let us see what happens in the return game in Welly.

Honorable Mentions(in no particular order):

Burlington - What the hult ? Losses to Buffalo and Brampton, barely getting by Mississauga.

North York - 0-5 vs Couchiching and Huntsville, but are 1-1, both OT, against Aurora.

Peterborough - On a modest little five game win streak and have got points in their last seven. They have the back to back with Kingston followed by North York on Sunday.

Toronto - After a loss to Welly, they bounce back with wins over Hamilton and Cobourg. Enough for a HM.

I have sen many teams play this year. I believe the West to be the best division from top to bottom. Overall the league has many teams that are very close. It should be a very interesting run to the playoffs.

The West and Central both have 6 teams playing better then .500 hockey. Because of the difference in size of the divisions, the West has 4 sub .500 clubs while the Central has just two.

The North is 5 and 5 while the East has just 3 over the .500 mark while 6 are under.

Long way to go mind you.
