Ajax adds Brandon Timones an OHL Draft Pick from Brampton for Cash, Add Sacha Alaby from Seguin for cash and the most significant deal to date is the addition of Steven Koufis ( 47 pts last year ) for second year defenceman Cameron Banwell.

it's nice to finally see ajax looking to improve at this time of the year as they historically were sellers not buyers. pretty good season and must be a good feeling. way to go!! to the management and coaching staff for doing what a lot of us thought was impossible!!

Well getting Banwell from Ajax is much needed for Whitby,but if Koufis can stay healthy Ajax got the better in this trade,and also got better on the scoreboard!

Trading Banwell for Koufis doesn't make sense to me. Ajax has plenty of fire power up front take a look at the stats, 127 gf is pretty good to me. From what I see they could use the help on d with 124 ga, that kind of stat won't get you far in the playoffs. I'd say Whitby came away with the better deal. Based on the number of games Koufis has played either he has been sitting or he has been injury prone this year. My guess it is the latter.

Don't know much about Banwell but Koufis is a quality player and a quality kid. Missed games due to injury this year, but if healthy probably the fastest skater in the league with quick hands and a quick release. Good luck Kouf!
