It did not take long for Stefan Thompson to make his mark for the Beehives. Recently acquired from the Muskies and playing in only his third game Thompson scored Dixie's first two goals and then assisted on the third, but the final result wasn't exactly what he and his new teammates were looking for. The visitors held a one goal lead four times in the game but each time his BeeHives came back to tie it up until it was 5-5. Brent Mueller led the Bears with the hat trick and most importantly the winning goal with just under three minutes remaining in the final period. He also added two assists while the other half of Seguin's 'one-two punch' Ian DeLong chipped in with a pair of helpers. An insurance marker by Chris Marinakos, his second of the game, gave the Bruins the 7-5 victory and their fourth road win of the season. Five of the Bruins' goals, including Mueller's last two, came on the powerplay in just nine opportunities. With the win Seguin moves to within four points of the seventh-place BeeHives.
