Tonights game should be a good one. The Knights are improving defensively and if they can score they can put the puck in the net they will be a dangerous team to watch.

the 158 ave attendance, does that count everyone at all 6 rinks at york or just the people in rink a. I have been to two villanova games, seguin and orangeville and both times they said they had over 150 people there but if you were there they had no more than 50 people in the rink. I am going tonight so i will keep an eye out for how many people they report and how many i see

thanks for the encouragement , didnt happen. knights just cant seem to get enough to steal one these days. despite their record, of the 28 losses, 17 are by 2 goals or less. this is an improvement over last year, but i am sure there will be someone who will just insult the program, because there are many on this forum who do.

then you better wear your glasses. what would anyone gain by increasing numbers - they are down in all rinks.

the knights attendance does include people in the bar/lounge area as there is viewing areas overlooking the rink.

last night 105, there was a party going on in the restauarant - maybe you didnt notice.

there is no reason to inflate numbers other than for ego. it sure isnt to gain sponshership $$. I
dont get it, I was at the game last night and counted at the 9min mark of the second period there were 51 people in the rink including the layers sitting out for both teams. The blinds that cover the bar area opened at the 12 min mark of the 3rd period. if you wanted to watch the game you sure didnt do it from the bar. this is not a knock on the organization as the are doing a great job off the ice.on the ice thats another story.but again i ask why inflate the numbers, i dont get it.

sometimes depending on what is happening in the restaurant the patrons are or are not included in the total. the blinds are always closed because so many like to not pay the admission. people do move from the restaurant into the seating area, but with alcohol not allowed in the rink, most people stay inside and watch tv's and through areas that dont have blinds (there are a few as you may have noticed)

so to answer your question it just depends if there is anything going in the restaurant area that may be part of the knights. some evenings there are as much as 150 to 200 in the restaurant area, only the ones part of the knights promotions, etc are included in the estimate. there is also a priviate viewing area for teams, groups etc that is part of the number as well. there could be anywhere from 3 to 20 people in that room at any given time. the knights work with various minor hockey teams and they use that are quite frequently.

there are also volunteers and fans from both the school (villanova) and york university who help out and sometimes there are too many and the ones not needed are in and out of the viewing area as well.

hope it makes it clear as the knights dont get anything out of making it more or less. the on ice product says enough.
