Ajax is a better team then people think.
When Jenkins is in goal, as was the case last night, they are a lot better then when Stein is tending.
The Attack would be battling for third if they played Jenkins more.
I dislike accusing team owners of putting their son's interest ahead of the team's, but in this case it may be true.
Jenkins 20 games, 12 wins, 3 losses.
Stein 18 games, 4 wins, 12 losses.

Wex, just curious but how many games of Ajax have you seen? I go to a lot of Pickering, Fury and Ajax games and if you look the same as you did 5 years ago at Wexford games, I can't say I've seen you at any of the above. Not that I'm looking, so maybe I've missed you, although at many of the games of these 3 teams its pretty easy to see the whole crowd.
I ask the question because you sound like a lot of the people who take verbal shots at a young man like Stein and many of them have never recently seen him play. I saw him play against Kingston a couple of Sundays ago, he played very well and he gave his team a full chance to win . Unfortunately for Ajax, the Kingston goalie was also very sharp that game. I also heard he was flat out superb in an overtime game against Pickering recently Sure, he might have a bad game , who doesn't? A pretty good goalie from Burlington was pulled last game against Ajax. I guess I'm just saying it gets kind of old hearing about stuff like that.......Ajax ownership has put together a good young team, I'm sure all the kids are thankful to the ownership for helping them further their hockey careers. Your comment really serves no purpose.

Have to come to the defence of Wex on this one. Wex is correct in his statement. I don't think he is badmouthing Stein but the stats tell a different story. As for the remark, " I'm sure all the kids are thankful to the ownership for helping them further their hockey careers. Your comment really serves no purpose"..not all the players careers are being furthered here. Wex's comments do serve a purpose. Remember how many losses and how many player defections Ajax has endured because of the goaltending situation. As for coaches and managers leaving, remember why Winder got the boot, it had to do with goal. Lets just say there has been a lot of hockey carnage along the way. |

I'm shocked to hear that. The Attack fans have been pretty good when I've been there. |

Im not going to sound like much of a ajax fan but here goes. The attack fans is actually most of the scratched players. they chirp non stop and to make it worse they swear constantly around the few kids that are in the rink. this starts at the top with the coach and should end. its brutal to listen to them with the foul language. i asked them to cool it once and was told to f off. i like some yelling and some chirping and some yapping and some of that but the constant yap yap yap with f words and worse has made me move to the far end of the rink. its embarrassing for parents of the team. the bad part the kids in uniform keep it going. wattters can be heard every period say im going f kill you and f kill you. just score kid i doubt your a fighter!
Stein is not a very good goalie. he is not as bad as people trash him on here though. if he wasnt the owners kid he wouldnt get any of this bashing he would just be a below average goalie. does he play to many games yes! maybe that will stop in the playoffs.
ajax has some good quality kids and players and they are carrying this team to where they are despite the rest of the show. Watching the powerplay and alot of games and stuff they are well coached but its time durant teaches the kids some class and composure and time the owner allows durant to sit stein more. if these things happen ajax would be a much better team. |

I never thought it was that bad. Nevertheless, its always the same kids whose dads are in positions of influence and they feel they can get away with anything. Its like that on most teams. |

Ajax has a tremedous amount of class. Right from the owner down to the training staff. They have worked hard to acheive their goals and done it very quietly to.One of their players already has a full ride and there will be more to come.As for Adam Stein he is a good kid and why all the bashing.Try to be positive when people do well instead of being a critic. Why dont you get off your ass and make a difference instead of being an arm chair sports fanatic. |

to leafsfan.... I never said Hare was pulled from the Ajax game. I said "a pretty good goalie was pulled from the game". His record at the time was something like 9-1. That's pretty good, in my books anyway. I'm sure in your books thats below average, like your IQ.

Ian Watters can act like an idiot because he can. Just a reflection of the coaching staff and his old man.

Ripskate are you related to Frank Robinson. You have alot to say but dont really say anything. You couldnt wear Ian Watters Jock strap and if you could it would be around your face like a breathing aparatis. You have a axe to grind with someone in the Ajax organization so why dont you just come forward and say who you are. Or are you a CHICKEN boc boc |

hockeynut my post came across to harsh on our boys. john tugnutt is a great guy and dealing with him this year has been great. carey is a excellent coach and good guy as well and has done a good job with the boys. but the players do lack some class and maybe its more they lack respect at the rink.
loud f this and f that from the players in the stands every game around kids looks bush league. they just need to carry themselves better. you expect some chipring after a loss when guys are pissed but after a win they should drop the yapping. take the win enjoy the 2 points and drop it why start the yap war to piss off the team more you just beat.
i shouldnt have mentioned wattters specifically as theyre a few of them who are like that although i will say hes the worst. i just hate it when players yap yap yap and dont back it up. i never see or hear body or gour acting tough after games. they just take the points or win and thats it. id like to see more guys act like that.
