I was just wondering which goalies, despite their GAAs and Save Percentages were facing the most work night in and night out. So I basically copied the goalie leader page, highlighting the total saves. I then pasted it in excel and added the goals agianst, divided by the total minutes/60 and violia. Did not take long at all!

I think this is an interesting stat because, while some goalies may have very low stats or very high - it certainly does not always indicate the quality of the goaltender. As much as GAA and Save % are an individual stat... when you have a good team, it helps make a goaltender's job that much less strenuous.
