It started here on Hamilton Mountain around seven just light snow, now it is much heavier and starting to get quite windy. As you know we don't get hit as hard as London in the swowbelt area but the snow is supposed to last into the evening. Not a day to travel.

The snow has started falling pretty good here at the centre of the Canadian Sports Universe aka TSN in Scarborough...
Looking at the Durham Region teams (just thinking / no actual information):
Bowmanville & Ajax might go if it doesn't get too bad - pretty close together and not a bus trip...
Port Hope heading into Pickering & Whitby heading out to Trenton could be in trouble...

Whitby to Trenton. If it were me, I'd call this one off already. The stretch of the 401 from Grafton to Brighton gets particularly bad. Wouldn't surprise me if it gets closed again today.

And treacherous all the way East here in Kingston. Conditions have really deteriorated.
Stay home folks unless you absolutely have to go out on those roads. Leave the roads for emergency vehicles...please.
When you arrive home safely, on the train, Tony, please let us all know.

Will find it hard to sleep tonight."

The only game not postponed tonight was in Lindsay where the Muskies going into the contest were ensconced in second place in the Ruddock and the visiting Liftlock Stars were in third six points behind but with three games in hand and looking for a big road win. The home team got off to a good start leading 2-0 after one period with goals from Aaron Keaney and the twentieth of the season from Murray Free. In the second the Stars got on the board with a powerplay goal from Ryan Herlihey, his 21st. but the Muskies would go two up again before the end of the period courtesy of Lindsay native Grant McLean. 3-1 Muskies after two.
The Stars rallied in the third to tie things up at 3-3. First Steven Fice tabbed his second goal of the campaign and within a minute leading points scorer Pier-Olivier Cotnoir had tallied his fifteenth. The Muskies would regain the lead as Kevin George picked a great time to record number twenty. Three minutes later it was George again and this time on a powerplay putting Lindsay back in command, up by two. With the extra attacker and less than two minutes remaining Cotnoir potted his second to set up an exciting finish and the Muskies would hold fast for the 5-4 win. Defenceman Elliott Richardson recorded three assists for the winners. There were only five minor penalties in the contest.
The victory for the Muskies puts them just two points behind the Kimco Voyageurs with a single game in hand.

What a game. Everything you could ask for in a great contest. Scoring lots of clean hits and a minimum amount of infractions.
The best ever hit was by Lindsay's Wills in the 3rd. A nice hip check at the blue line where the peterborough player actually did a 360 vertically. The play was very intense at times and play would see saw back and forth. Two power Play goals ,one each. Shots were pretty even with Lindsay edging Peterborough 27-30.
Attendance wasn't bad either with just over 200 fans.
