Different time, different era "merchantfan"! All that we're doing is dating "OUR"selves when we reminisce about how this league "USED" to be!
Today almost everything is disposable! Disposable hockey players, playing in a disposable league, where disposable franchises (i.e. the Streetsville, Westwood, Chesswood, Rexdale, Humber, Etobicoke Derby's) are operated by disposable ownership groups with nothing but their own self-serving motives are realized!
We live in a disposable society where employees, senior management, cars, houses, jobs, and yes even personal relationships are replacable entities! We don't have to like it much "merchantfan" .... but we HAVE to accept it!
I know that Mr. Vic Johnston himself or Tom Barrett would be rolling in their graves if they could witness the condition of Junior hockey today!
Why is it that about the ONLY thing that isn't disposable in Junior hockey is the geriatric, old boy, executrive who continue to allow "OUR" game to be butchered apart?
