Be the first corporate team member of our Annual "Skate In The Park At Dark" event this year! Tax receipts "WILL" be issued and payments can be made either through the PayPal link in the header of our forum, or by cheque made payable to "The Sunshine Foundation For Kids" and mailed to either c/o Tony Hayward (I'll provide mailing details by e-mail only), so please drop me a line at; thayward13@cogeco.ca or mailing directly to Sunshine Dreams here in London, again I can provide mailing information via e-mail!

WE need the corporate sponsorships to ensure that we make it to our $10,000.00 goal once again, thus enabling us to fulfill the dreams of not one, but two kids of Sunshine!

So which OPJAHL team or corporate leader will step up to the challenge first? With the permission of each teams representative, your teams name will be featured in the header of our forum, as well as on our appreciation banners proudly displayed in the park on the day of the skate and on commemorative shirts recognizing ALL ninety plus corporate sponsors who join in OUR cause to help the kids!

Thankyou again for your continued support and let's see which OPJAHL team will be the first to answer the bell again this year! You may also contact me at; thayward@diamondair.com or on my hotmail account at; tigerpaws92@live.com .

This years skate will represent the second consecutive year of expansion with our annual event now be referred to as the "Skate In The Park"S" At Dark", as we are pleased to welcome aboard Storybook Gardens in London as part of our efforts and vision to fulfill as many dreams as possible through the Sunshine Dreams For Kids Foundation. Through the generous donations of so many dedicated supporters, our annual 300 mile, 19 hour test of endurance is hopeful of filling as many Dreams as possible through Sunshine Dreams.

Although details have not been confirmed as of yet, we are hopeful that in the future, Windsor, Halifax and Vancouver will also join us as we continue in our goal of one day having several cities accross this vast country of ours evolve into a National event! For now however, we won't look too far ahead as we have secured our ice permit at Gage Park in Brampton, as well as the necessary documentation for Storybook Gardens in London, which has a picturesque rink comparable to that at Bramptons Gage Park .... Take a look for yourself ......

Throughout the past decade we have been bringing the kids of Sunshine who suffer from physical/mental challenges or life threatening illnesses dreams to life from the proceeds generated at our annual event. With London sistering up with us to complete the 1,000 lap (500 kilometer) skate, we will have completed the distance in each of our own parks to skate to the other cities outdoor skating trail!

We look to continue the tradition and expansion of fulfilling the dreams of such deserving kids! If you are able to make a monetary donation, please click on the PayPal donation tab located in the header of our "In The Cage" forum. Or if you are able to donate prizes to our raffle table then please contact me directly at thayward13@cogeco.ca  and I will make arrangements to pick up any and all donated gifts!

The addition of London this year is beyond my wildest dreams back when we started this thing in 1997, but only fuels the desire to expand the skate to one day  include all of the major cities across Canada!

For any organization or business wishing to contribute to our event, tax receipts will be issued by Sunshine Dreams, and your name will appear on one of our two appreciation banners which are displayed throughout the duration of the skate.

This years "Skate In The Park'S' At Dark" will commence at 8:00 P.M. on Saturday the 14th of February 2009, and conclude at approximately 3:00 P.M. on Sunday the 15th. We are hoping that a couple of team members from our Brampton contingent can commence the skate in Brampton, then drive to London to skate through the night, and then return home on the Sunday morning to catch the final leg in Brampton!

Thanks to everyone for your past contributions and hoping that you can join us again this year! I know that it seems so far off in the distance time wise, but as we close in on the Christmas season, we only have a few weeks until the skate, with ALOT  of work yet to do!

So please, if you can (and I do understand that times are tough for so many right now, but this too shall pass) please make a donation through PayPal by clicking on one of the two tabs above.

Thank You!

Wow! Just received confirmation of payment received from my dear friend (although he'll never admit it, teehee) Bert Wilson who owns Emerald Isle in Georgetown that he has donated $150.00 to the "Skate In The Park At Dark" through PayPal! Thanks buddy, and please don't kick my ass around the coffee shop for mentioning your name here "In The Cage"! lol

If anyone knows of a company who can offer our skate a pledge or even gifted prizes, please forward on my e-mail address so that we can hit the road at full speed when we all return from our Christmas holidays! Thankyou

We have received a pledge from the TC Moose Hockey Club of the GMHL! They have creatively offered the Sunshine Dreams for Kids Foundation 5% of all revenue from their silent auction, 100% of an autographed plaque donated by the Maple Leafs, and Sunshine will receive the entire portion of the 50/50 draw in addition to a personal donation of $180 on behalf of the Moose.

I'd like to personally offer my sincere gratitude to the TC Moose Hockey Club and to Marshall Uretsky for his personal commitment to our cause!
