Oakville beat Buffalo 6-3 in the United States. Sean Ryan scored his first for the Blades. Five goals in the last six minutes of the second period where Andrew Moyer's goal with just over a minute left got the Junior Sabres back in the game down only 4-3 before Dustin Alcock restored Oakville's two-goal bulge with just a second left. Only seven minors. Luke Moodie, with the only goal of the third period, and Jeremy Welsh each got one for the Blades to go to 31 and 29 respectively.

The Blades could not make up any ground on the Raiders though as Andrew Marcoux led Georgetown to a 7-4 win in Huntsville. He scored three times taking the Rockwood native to the 35 goal level. Justin Dicks and Jon Whitelaw, with his 30th., staked the Muskoka Otters to a 2-0 lead but then the Raiders got going. Brandon Pirri had a big night for Georgetown with a goal and four points. Jeremy Wick got the last Raiders goal into an empty net and added two assists. I wonder if the weather in Huntsville kept the attendance to 264?

Peterborough beat Villanova. Can a duck swim? It was 6-1 after one and to the Stars' credit 6-2 final. Matt McCann got two goals in his third game for the winners. Jordan Forfar had three helpers. Henderson Robinson got an assist and has registered one in each of his three games since coming from the Hercs.
