Here is one for you folks that have been around for a while. What can you recall is the most number of saves in a Jr. A game in recent years? I was looking at the game sheets from last night and saw that the UC goalie faced 84 shots and made 75 saves? Is that a record?

84 shots amounts to 1.4 shots per minute and a save pecentage of .893! Pretty impressive when you think that the poor sap was being bombarded for 60 minutes! lol

In a one game decider to see who got the last playoff spot a few years ago, Matt Spezza made 85 saves on 87 shots as the Muskies robbed the Preds by winning in overtime. The next day (or perhaps next but one) we played Aurora in the first round as the crossover team and Jason Spezza was there to watch his brother. I asked him if Matt had told him of his expoits in that game and he had not. That was rather out of character!
