new dixie g.m. is robert thom.
i hope he listens to people about the dixie gong show and has all his guarantees in writing so he doesn't end up paying the bills for the owner like those before him and fighting for the pay agreed to.
heres some suggestions.
if you're getting a salary be sure that you get paid in advance. that way you wont get burned.
if mr.moore tells you that all the problems with the team were created by others...call them and hear their side of the story.
ask if other teams have to arrange their own transportation to away games instead of taking a bus.
looks like they will be playing huntsville in the playoffs so how will the players get there.
you are in for a rough ride so please be aware . its not too late to change your mind.
look into the eyes of your players and ask yourself if this is the look of happy athletes. that alone will tell you the whole story!!!

So which Robert Thom is it.

Co-author of the Hockey Handbook?

or

Author of the New Wine is Better

http://artist.ebay.com/Robert-Thom_books_W0QQcZ1024043170?_trksid=p4295.c0.m295

Come to think of it, either book would help in Dixie;) (this was too easy)

probably the wine book.
i feel sorry for all involved at dixie. joe quinn seems to be a good guy and probably regrets ever getting involved. john marshall dies. far too young! not a good scene to take over.
you would think that they would have made a move in the off season and just left well enough alone heading into the playoffs.
theres got to be something else coming down. maybe this guy will take it over. who knows?
really who cares. it would be better for the well being of the league if they just folded.

Joe has his own agenda and once his kid moves on(if Foligno co-operates!)so will he.This is probably a good thing for those still in Dixie but it appears that 'fold' will be next on the agenda unless someone comes in with a cheque book and pen.It really is too bad because it would be nice to see the team succeed after all the time and effort the late Mr. Marshall put in.

Poor Joe Quinn and players of this once storied team. Quinn is on the bench by himself, no trainer no assts. No transportation provided, this guy from what I hear has not be taken care of as promised, he has stayed for the players and yes he has a kid on the team but you can tell he truly likes his players, he is sticking it out and a new guy is brought in and starts barking at the players as soon as he gets there, I;m the new sherrif in town and you will do as I say and I will bring in my friend from Europe as soon as he gets back, the players were laughing as this very large man in sweat pants and running shoes is telling them whats going to happen and what he is going to do. Please how does this guy Moore keep making mistakes, does anyone know what Thom's resume states. Good Luck Joe Quinn and I hope those players survive yet another chapter in this horror novel called the Dixie Bee Hives.

joe quinn is an honourable man who has put up with far more than anyone should have to. moore did not pay him or anyone else from what i hear. marshall was in for a lot of money out of his own pocket and was extremely stressed and subsequently died suddenly. how bad is that!
even the trainer was not paid and finally had to say enough is enough. all the people from last year were never paid. john marshall paid the ice fees himself and never got reimbursed from the owner.
a member of last years staff paid a hospital bill on his visa for an american kid last year and moore never reimbursed him for that.how bad is that!
i once stated that dixie wouldnt last until christmas this year and it seems the only reason they did is that marshall paid for everything himself.
i wonder if the owner will have the decency to pay marshalls widow the money that he owes. i bet she will never see a dime of it unless she takes him to court.
this is with out a doubt the worst situation ever in this league and there must be a way to stop this.
if anyone knows this new gm robert thoms they should call him and warn him about the smooth talk from the owner. he will also get burned and so will the next guy after him.
it will be interesting to see if the team ever plays another game.
if they don't finish the year moore will blame everbody under the sun.
it was quinns fault..its because marshall died its because obama won the election...he's probably still blaming carney and this is just proving that carney really was fired because he demanded that the owner pay his bills and live up to his commitments!
mr moore if you paid your bills and told the truth NONE of this would be going on.period!
i hope that all prospective players see this team for what it is and stay away. i hope all the other owners and gms in this league do all they can to stop this and never allow it to happen again.
ajax 12 you must know a lot about this and i hope you havent been hurt too bad!

the players are not even pissed off at all of this in fact they are relieved. they probably wont be able to ice a team in collingwood tonight as most players are done. heard the u.s. kids have already left for home.

And gave the Tigers fits in every game they played.

By the way one of the wins against the Otters was a 3-0 shutout in Huntsville.

Go figure!!

Skateass states,"Quinn is an honorable man and has put up with more than he should"!Bull****, everyone around him had to put up with more than they had to!That's why he is alone on the bench.Once again he is only there for himself and his kid.Blame Moore for other things but players wanting out has nothing to do with Moore.Heck most of the kids wouldn't know him if they saw him at the mall!Look at the teams record.Once the players got to see what was really going on they started heading for the exits. As far as beating Huntsville and giving Aurora fits, that was early in the season, before the 'smell hit the room".

Dixie beat Huntsville twice while they still had Calovecchia and Kurt. The other players pitched in and together with a bit of chemistry they ALL competed. Joe Quinn had the chemestry there for a while but there is only so much you can do before the crap starts with ownership and a lack of a finacial committment. I think all owners should maybe have to put up the years funds in an account before they get their cards so the bills get paid and the kids year is not in QUESTION. I should know as well as Sean! This should never happen again.

I do not think anyone could deny that Dixie has had a bunch of talent the last two years. The off ice problems have always been what has taken away from the teams on ice performance

who are the brain surgeons that allow a bill to run up to $30,000 in this economy or better yet with a jr. hockey club. they just saw the money they could make and threw common sense out the window. You play with fire you are going to get burned. next time a jr club walks into your store to order something get some lc's to make sure you get paid. good luck getting paid on this one

new president announced on the ojhl website dixie site..
seems weird that moore hires a gm when quinn was still gm and then after that hires a president. bet this new guy is looking to buy the team. anyway his contact info is on the dixie site so why dont you call this guy cc and see if hes going to pay all moores debts.
moore probably never told him anything.
