Thanks Tony, but i am sure most readers will say they wont attend due from the fact they dont live in the Durham area, but it would be great to see a big turnout in the stands for the very first Durham Cup!
Like Shasha26 says it should be most exciting!

I wish I could be there for the Don Sanderson Cup! It sounds like a great gate. However transportation poses a problem for any out of town games. That means all I can do is stay home and watch the Raiders thump the visitors. LOL
I sure wish I could be in Oakville on Friday for what I think will be the game of the season. Should be a preview of playoff hockey.

Now when the fans attend the Don Sanderson Cup, it will give us all a chance to pay our respects to the Family of Don Sanderson and show our support by being there that special night!

Your starting to scare me "Ice Babygirl"! I'm halfway through my journey to lose 60 pounds at Weight Watchers (last count 27.2 pounds total weight loss since November 8th) last Saturday, and I'm only starting to realize that I even have a "five hole", so how the hell can you see it? teehee

At some point after I left, maybe my first year of university, I realized I love goalies. Last year, I bought a shirt from Nike Bauer hockey that says "I can see your five-hole" on it, and my mom thought it meant something dirty soooo thought it would be funny.
Congrats on the weightloss though, that's awesome - and can't believe you did it over xmas - Tony you are my will-power idol.
*I can see your five hole*

Well Fury555 i never agree with what you say on the forum, but i do have to say i AGREE with you on support for the Sanderson family a loss of a child so young everyone on this forum and Wexdogs, should be there and show their support.

Wexdog not sure i think Sharpie would be the best to answer that for you, it being a special night and all it maybe a little higher than most games, attending U of T we do not have the best math skills....LOL!

It's $11.00 I believe, might be $10. And yes, there is a bar at the rink. Probably a few of us will stick around for a pop or two after the Cup presentation.

Well some people cant but i think what Fury555 ment was,if it was your son would you not like to see the support of OJHL Fans, Don Sanderson was a member of this League and it would be nice to see the support for them.

I think that is an unfair conclusion to come to. If people could come they would, but for some it is impossible. I would assume a 17 hour and 38 minute drive would be a little to the extreme of making such an event.
The true Junior A fans are the ones who support the league day in and day out. Not the ones who show up just because there is a big event going on.
