The Crush off to a fast start in their series vs. the Rangers winning 7-2. Mike Arnold registered the hat trick to put Orangeville up 1-0. Robert Visca had a goal and three points.
Seguin finished the season on a positive note with a 6-3 win over the Knights. Chris Marinakos got tuned up for the playoffs as the Orillia native scored four times and added an assist. Steve Quinton had four helpers. Brent Mueller had three assists and led the club with 70 points.
The Stars seem ready to roll as they prevailed 5-2 over the Muskies. Mike Ryan had the game winner and Pier-Olivier Cotnoir had three assists and ended up with a team-high 67 points.
The Derbys will be in the playoffs as the Chargers were drubbed 7-1 in the big city of Buffalo. Nicky Panepinto had a five point night with a hat-trick. He scored the Sabres' fourth, fifth and sixth goals in the third.

One interesting thing to note about the Peterborough Stars vs. the Lindsay Muskies game was that from what it looked like, the Stars sat out half their team. I just checked pointstreak and the Stars had 10 players either listed as APM or players that had never played a single game this season. Rest Up? Or another Reason?

Yes, the Stars had ten call-ups playing tonight. Might even have helped the Stars as at least the game meant something to them. Good idea by Peterborough.

Interesting late pick up by the Crush with former Upper Canada player Dwayne Vatcher playing his first game. He will be sitting out the next two mind you.

I agree with estock. The Muskies played a one-off game with Port Hope a few years ago. I seem to remember that it was a three-way tie with Peterborough, but the tiebreakers were used to award Peterborough the eighth place and then the remaining two teams had to face-off for the 9th (cross-over) birth in the playoffs as per the rules. The Muskies won with an outstanding goaltending performance by Matt Spezza, but as the prize was a series against Aurora, the reward was short-lived.
