| ...that in the Ruddock, the only team remaining that has won a division title before is the Muskies? Is certainly true in my time following the league but maybe Kingston or Peterborough won one before my time? If I am right, then we have a 3:1 chance of crowning first-time champions this season. Of course, I hope the Muskies win, but if not, it would be nice to see a new name on the trophy. |

I've only been following these teams 11 years but in that time:
The Muskies made it to the league finals in 2000 and to the division finals in 2001. Over the subsequent 7 years they only won one playoff round.
Prior to this season, the Stars/Bees had won a grand total of one playoff round in 10 years.
It's been reported that this years Ajax team won their first playoff round....ever.
Kingston has been knocking at the door and made it to the division finals the last two years before losing both times to the Wellington Dukes.
The semi's should be a lot of fun this year.

Well living in Durham and only one club from here left in the playoffs Ajax,we all hope they make it 2 for 2 over Kingston after that they could very well be the Dark Horse the rest of the way!
Look at Tampa Bay and the Mighty Ducks who would of thought they would win a Stanley Cup anything can happen in playoffs! |

A quick check with JPM will confirm, but I believe it was 1997 and 1999 the Panthers won the conference in the east, and a couple times since have made it to the division semi finals before being ousted (once in early 2000's and the division final 2 yrs ago)... |

I think Muskievite was referring to "remaining" teams. | |
