For those who have some spare time on Sunday in the Halton region make a point of attending both the Oakville Midgets vs. St. Catharines at 5pm followed by the Oakville Blades vs. Burlington in Game 3 of a great rivalry at 7:30pm both at Joshua Creek Arena. As well the Oakville Bantam team plays at 6:30 on the other pad of Joshua Creek. It's a hockey fans delight on Sunday in Oakville. People who show for the Midget game will have the best possible seats for the Blades game.

Well Tony, we all know by now that the Blades were unsuccessful in taking a 3-0 lead in their series. The Bantam squad was also dealt a blow in losing to the last place Welland Tigers 3-2 on a last minute goal. On the other hand the Midgets continued to dominate beating St. Catharines by a 3-1 score which badly flattered the visitors. After going down 1-0 early Oakville decided to take over the game with St. Catharines being hemmed in their own end for extended periods regularly. On the whole it was an enjoyable day of hockey following Hockey Day in Canada.
