The Raiders were full value for the money last night, and I have to take my hat off to 16 year old Kyle Essery.  He has found his calling in playing D.  He's showing that he can play end to end and isn't afraid to go into the corners.  He's really stepped up his game.

He takes a "lickin and keeps on tickin".  Way to go Essery.

GO RAIDERS GO!

When you look at this years Raiders roster, they've got a list of "runts" that play like the Energizer bunny! Just take a look at this explosive offensive lineup for Georgetown, and to think ONLY one of them is over six feet tall! My kind of talent, my kind of players, all heart, leave it all out there and NEVER afraid to battle!

I posted this poem in the Gervasi thread and it applies well to Essery too.

.....

Enfant! Dat Joliat ees full
Of hevery kind of treek....

Hes small but e ees bothersome
Lak ceender in de heye.
Maroons all yell: Go get som Flit
And keel dat leetle fly.

......He run against beeg Conacher
And trow heem on hees back

....An wen he pass de beeg defence
Dey have one seely look

.....and that's why Essery reminds me of Monsieur Joliat .

Barney what's up you big purple dinosaur? No tee time today? Look into it it's a great day for golf today, although I'm sure most of the other Cougars fans have them all booked up already.

You were kidding with your comment about Georgetown not having any "local" players on their roster right? Much smaller town with a little less to draw from then some of the other teams don't you think?

Oh wait a minute my mistake, you NEVER think!

To all the Georgetown faithful, best of luck to you tomorrow night in what we all knew would be a great 7 games series. May the best team win.
