I may have missed this, but when did the Panthers change their "GM" - GW is out?

GW has a lot going on with family and he has walked away from the position. We all wish him the best

The GM walked away because " Mission was accomplished". I never understood why one would take on more hockey responsibility rather then less hockey responsibility the last few years if there were other issues to deal with. Maybe someone can explain this.

Quite simple really.

Since becoming the GM, the issues that are now causing him to walk away from this position have worsened, significantly. He took on more hockey responsibility, I think, to try to keep himself busy. I have known others going through what that family are going through, and I find that they usually find things a little easier to deal with if they keep themselves busy, keep their minds occupied if you will. Now that the situation has worsened, it is to the point where Gary needs to be with his family a lot more.

Gary is a very good man, and I consider him a very good friend. I wish him and his family well, and my prayers continue to be with them.
