Thirty six playoff points..two players..Greg Cerilli and Rob Waddell missing..but like all good teams the Otters soldier on. Game two of the series against Kingston this afternoon and Huntsville started out brightly with Jon Whitelaw putting them ahead in the first with a powerplay goal. It was his 11th. of the post season and moved him into the club lead for goals.
Within less than a minute of period number two the Voyageurs had got even through Dustin Walsh but the Otters regained the lead just over a minute later through Dan Pinkney. Like Whitelaw's goal it was also scored with Huntsville enjoying a man advantage. Defenceman Scott Harrington's first goal of the post season would tie things up at two and it remained that way until the end of the second.
It took Adam McAllister only twenty five seconds to put the visitors ahead in the third and didn't Mitch Latchford poke another one past Ryan Williams just 43 seconds later to give the Vees a 4-2 victory. Mike Farrell had a pair of assists for the winners. Shawn Sirman stopped 33 Otter shots.
Unlike game one in Huntsville where only 13 minors were called Messrs. Lavender and Bell called ninety eight minutes worth in this contest. The attendance was just sixteen souls short of a thousand.

how to make a good game go south today was displayed. period one saw back and forth action but then the penalties just got out of control. they were trying to overcompensate and made things worse.
i bet mcallister is still wondering what happened in the fight. lots of jeers from the crowd as he and ronnie george squared up due to the size difference between the two and then bam mcallister was out cold.
good effort by the vees today who got the bounces going there way. should make for an exciting series.
