On his fourum Wexdog has called Oakville an embarrasment to the OJHL due to not having a time posted for tomorrow nights game....I think its a pretty safe bet it will be an EVENING GAME...and why do you care anyway Wexdog....will you be making the trip to the Oakville game???
DIDNT THINK SO!!!!
Is this guy for real?
Oakville has THE BEST ownership this parent has seen in 5 years of OJHL hockey and should be applauded for consistensy not ridiculed for a minor technicality

its always tough to schedule ice outside of your normal scheduled times. dont blame the team or the rink. sometimes at this time of the year theres lots of ice but not at convenient times due to other teams at other levels still playing and they may own the times or part of that you need.
sometimes teams have had to play playoff games in different arenas. a few years ago the aurora tigers got bumped for a home show and had to play in richmond hill. also i believe oakville played a couple of playoff games in streetsville in the last couple of years. --it happens..lighten up!!!

They say you learn something new everyday, unfortunatly this was already well known. Wex I know when game time is I just don't want to post it to ensure you won't be there.

Easy does it,can you say bought not developed, I am sure Oakville's legit and we will call it "gas allowances" exceed the rest of the Mackinnons teams combined. Not to mention the team budget.

Here we go again with the Blades buying their team. I thought this was covered during the Burlington series.

Volpe, Adrian - Call up for playoffs from Jr.B
Ok so looks to me that thats a pretty developed team. A few addition this year during the season just like most teams do as the season goes on. Looks like they have scouted well in the Jr.B ranks to get some quality players. Lots of local kids so "gas money" is not needed. And for thsoe who will sit there and say well they bought players and brought them in at the deadline.....look at their transactions where they traded players away without getting players in return......
DEL Amodeo, Andrew (D) traded to North York
DEL Monardo, Dominic (F) traded to Aurora
DEL Taylor, Brendan (F) traded to Couchiching
DEL Barbieri, Blake (D) traded to St. Michaels
DEL Evely, Kirk (D) traded to Orangeville
And they also lose Julian Cimidamore to the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. And Dman Abramov and Goalie Jake Williams were moved elsewhere as well in what I would assume are cash deals. So you say they bought their team. Looks to be that they have scouted well, traded well and used the money from trades to aquire players.

Birch played Jr.B in Stoney Creek I believe....then he went to BC and came home from my understanding. But because he played his minor hockey in Hamilton I think they owned his rights even though he never played a single game for them.

Why wouldn't Braun be eligible? Guzzo has not played since....the beginning of October so I would have to assume that because of injury. But like i asked why wouldn't Braun be allowed to play?

Hmmmm thats interesting...one would think that with the D-core they have it would be hard to crack the top 6. What is the technical error? Explain it if you can because i just dont understand why all of a sudden a 16 yr old can't play when other teams can have them.

Wexdog, you have got me very confused. Whenever you refer to an online dictionary on here, you use an American English version, but when it comes to periods and quotation marks, you follow the British tradition rather than the American. Could you let me know which English you prefer? I would hate to use a standard that does not meet your approval.

I rest my case....glad you dealt with the reason for my post!!!
I have always noticed you correcting other peoples use of the english language and wondered why the hell anyone would ever bother conducting a quasi english course on a hockey site???
anyway...once again YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!! A BIG %&***%$% IDIOT
The reason I consider you an idiot just so everyone recalls what got us here in the first place is your comments that The oakville Blades are somehow "an embarrassment" to the OJHL due to the fact that a game time or times were not posted
Is that how we judge Junior Hockey Programs?????
My God..... I could only wish HALF the teams at this level could conduct themselves with the professionalism and class of Oakville ownership
Not to mention the track record of this team.....save the word EMBARRSSMENT for the teams that truly deserve it...we all know who they are

Has anyone given ANY thought for a single minute here that the Oakville Blades have had their hands tied by the Minor Hockey League schedule?
I'm sure that in Oakville (as in most community rinks) the first priority is Minor Hockey and accommodating their needs. At this time of year scheduling is virtually impossible, as teams are eliminated daily while other teams are extending their playoff rounds and require additional game/practice icetime!
It's hardly fair to be declaring such a class organization as "pathetic" as there are some thirty plus other teams who would love nothing more than to be in the Blades situation! If you want to talk about the Streetsville, Westwood, Rexdale, Etobicoke Derby's as being a "pathetic organization" then I could understand, but the Oakville Blades? .... Give your head a shake would ya please?
I'm sure that Oakville would love nothing more than to keep their fans informed "CORRECTLY" as soon as possible to offset the mass of Wellington fans that travel with their team! Do you actually believe that the Blades organization wants to keep us fans in the dark right up until game day? I would suggest otherwise!
The Oakville Blades are one of the few organizations throughout this league that actually contribute information to convey to their fans through this forum! They frequently send me personal updates with regards to scheduling, team events and player transactions via e-mail!
The Blades have supported our annual Skate In The Park At Dark for several years, as well as assisting a host of other charitable organizations, so how for one single stinking minute could anyone refer to them as a "pathetic organization"?
If only the rest of the league could only be so "pathetic", then we may actually have some stable ownership and hockey development at this level! Holy crap I've heard some doozies over the last little while, but to refer to the Oakville Blades as a "pathetic organization" sure as hell doesn't say very much for the majority of the league who move their circus tents and change ownerships on a cyclic trend!
Nuff said!

Tony, don't worry about Barnesdale he is just still bitter that the Blades steamrolled his Cubs so easily. He really is no different then raidernation. These are the same guys who predicted Burlington and Gtown sweeping the Blades. Tony, Barnesdale is a coward and has nothing to add to the site of any significance. Kind of like you said to me about Wex. Ignore him and he will go away with his tail between his legs because he has already proved it thats the kind of person he is. Also he obviously is cluless since he posts late last night about the time and it was announced already.
If he does respond to anything it will just be to tell you that your cluess or will just put up pointless banter...see his latest post. Ignore him Tony.

Re: too easy .... just out of curiosity "barnesdale" what have you ever done for the betterment of someone else's life? ........ (insert the sound of crickets here, teehee) ......... with such a positive outlook as yourself and Wexdogs no wonder you're one of those people ALWAYS on the outside of life looking in! lol
In response to your "too easy" reply .... back at ya with "too predictable"! (teehee)
