Well let's just say the Duke Dome was quite an experience.

It was very cold in the Dome and although it was nice of them to save a section for us Oakville Blade Fans, we did get the corner with NO HEATER above us...just wondering if that was a coincidence???... haha!! Also the Duke fans certainly are serious about their hockey.... one fan in particular - when Oakville scored the fan gave our player the finger lol.......obviously a bit of a sore loser ha ha!!

The most classic experience I saw at the Dome was the man who stands inside behind the glass and manually switches the red light on when the goalie is scored on....I can't remember the last time I saw that at a rink.

All in all...it was a great experience.

GO BLADES GO!!!

Fans from Oakville were told about the fact that seats were mostly taken up by season ticket holders with reserved seats that the fans paid for way back in September. The only place left in the Dome to seat all the of Oakville fans was in section 3 or against the glass in the front rows. Apologies were made to the Oakville fans and most seemed ok with this. You have to take into consideration, people who buy their tickets much in advance aren't just going to give up their reserved seats to make Oakville fans happy. Just like in any rink, even in professional league, you get whats left when tickets are sold.

Also, Oakville fans were shown the seating chart that is clearly marked so they would see that the seats were actually reserved and that the ticket lady was not just stuffing them in any spot.

As for the heaters not working, it happens a lot in Wellington. I have been going to games for 15 years in Wellington and some nights the heaters don't turn on. What would you expect from the same heaters than have been in the rink since, more than likely, the arena first got heaters. I am sure if you took a close look, they aren't new by any means.

Tyler don't worry the seats that were saved for us in the Duke Dome were fine. We understand and were just glad that seats were reserved for fans taking the bus ride there.

We have done the same here in Oakville for the fans making the trip. Sections have been reserved for you well. Hope to get a chance to speak to you tonight.
