| I do not, normally, give much air time to one who is not deserving of it, but I think this one worthy.
I was in Huntsville for game three cheering on my team like I always do. Never disrespectfully and never disparagingly towards opposition players, other fans or officials. Simply, very loudly in support of my team.
Well, this guy, who should have been old enough to know better, approaches me from below at ice surface. He begins mumbling something about wanting to meet me in the parking lot afterwards for a little toe-to-toe. In fact, he was mostly incoherent but I could make out a few choice comments towards me.
I ignored him as best as I could and continued cheering my boys and team on.
But here is what is worthy of air time.
Huntsville's Corey George, who was not playing, came by and smiled at the gentleman and told him to move along with him down the way. This, after security alsoi was there to help escort him along. He wasn't asked to leave but simply to move along.
Then, these young hockey players, about the same age as many on the ice, said to me "What is wrong with that guy? This is so embarassing it almost makes us want to cheer for Kingston!" They sat right next to me.
Then, at game's end, they all stood up, each shook my hand and asked me to be sure and keep my head up when leaving.
So for all the publicity of one misplaced soul who obviously had too much to drink and could not hold it, there was Corey George, two security guys and three young Hunstville youths' hockey players who deserve all my best.
There's always one but there's always a whole bunch more worthy of respect who don't often garner the headlines.
I am giving them all their due right here.
Thanks guys.
Thanks to you, I will stay tuned.

Don't be discouraged Wayne, "EVERY" town has these barnyard type neandrathals, even here in Georgetown! Funny though Wayne, once one of our spineless cowards lost his backbone, his mentor, his idol for the season when other duties were appointed within the organization, the son of a bitch NEVER attended another game again!
Real fan huh? This just confirms what we've been saying all season long about these outcasts! They've never actually accomplished anything, been part of or allowed in as part of the "inner circle" in life! (Ooooh now that sounds powerful, teehee). So they kiss ass, tug on coat tails and compromise their integrity (if they only ever knew what that was or if they ever had any to begin with, lol) to be "part of"!
These jerks don't love the game, hell they don't even like the game! They're simply fulfilling their unobtained life dreams by chirping young men from the safety of the seats in the balcony! Now that takes balls! Then when one of these Raider "fans" (yeah right) is delegated to the confines of the timekeepers box for the season, the other "fan" isn't to be seen/heard from again!
So that's what happens when someones backbone/courage is removed from them huh? Too funny! |
