You heard it here.
Quick, someone post this on the Wellington bulletin board.
The Dukes' powerplay has sputtered terribly without Marc Senecel. They have been shutout completely in this series. And that has not happened to a Welly powerplay in quite some time. How does zero for nineteen sound?
The coin cans in Wellington may soon be silent.
Stay tuned. Wayjoy |

Wayne, zero for nineteen, wow didn't realize that it was that bad. I really think that a big part is the loss of Marc Senecal but also I think that the Oakville defence corps has done a great job in both the Georgetown series and the Wellington series. They have kept the opposition away from the central zone and have forced them into the corners and away from the slot area.
Can they keep it up? I don't know, the Dukes being zero for nineteen one thing is for sure they are long "overdue". Tonight's game may be the one they finally "break their maiden" on the power play.
Remember, show me a good defensive team and I'll show you a winner.
Tonight's game? I think the Dukes will turn the tables tonight and force a 7th game back in Oakville, I can't see them losing 3 straight at home, but then I called the Otters over the Vees, so what do I know!! |

Seems like the refs have other ideas. 13 PIMs to Oakville, 2 PIMs to Wellington. All 3 Wellington goals so far on the PP. Can't see the Dukes fans complaining too much about the refs tonight. |

Yup, it's 4-3 Blades...with 2 minutes to play in the second...quite a shift in momentum. |

but only one of Oakville's goals was on the PP. The others have been even-up.
However, the penalties did change the Duke's stance, it seems. |

Yes, what I meant was that as soon as Wellington aren't on a perpetual powerplay, Oakville pop three into the net. |
