The Stoney Creek Warriors play game 3 of the Junior B championship @ 1:30pm at the Valley Park arena. The series is tied 1-1 in this best of 7. Tickets are only $8 for adults. A great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.

..and it was a good one at the Community Centre as the Warriors took a 2-1 series lead with a 6-2 win over the Niagara Falls Canucks. Andrew Dovey, whose participation in a game cost the Blades two points this season past, scored twice for Stoney Creek, the second one, shorthanded, after some fancy moves, turned out to be the game winner. David Ruberto got the opening and empty net goals and Greg Gibson, also shorthanded, and Joel Steeves got the other Warriors markers. Antony Candeloro and Shawn Connors scored for the Canucks both with the man advantage. 50/50 was over $900 bucks..no dice there but I did win twenty dollars worth of groceries on a program draw!

This was a great game and to see the arena packed to capacity on a Sunday afternoon was amazing.These two teams are giving the fans their moneys worth. On that note it was only $8 to watch this game. Game 4 in Niagara Falls on Tuesday night and back to Valley Park arena on Thursday @7:30. I'd get there early as another full house can be expected..
