I thought the Blades had a lot of depth. I wasn't at last night's game or the 5th one in Oakville, but if the Blades coach did only go with 2 lines last night then he made a huge mistake.
From here on to the RBC, Kingston will have to use their 4 lines, I can assure you of that.
I really think the Vees will go all the way and will surprise in the RBC, I hope so.
Wow, what a finish to a great year that would be.

It is a good point that you make austin65 . But it has been a reoccurring theme for teams who get behind in polayoff games and series. You often see the shortening of their benches to the team's best offensive players in hopes of trying to climb back in.
It is a temptation many coaches succumb to in a desperate attempt to stay alive. But it is not necessarily a sign of poor coaching or player deployment.
And often what happens in games not going according to the game plan, some guys forget and try to do more themselves. It happens all the time in team sports. And when it does, it often goes from bad to worse.
Players, too, will often forget to trust their team-mates enough to continue with the game plan to try and get back into the game/series.
It happened to heavy favourite Couchiching against Orangeville. Going down to two lines ultimately was their undoing.
The Oakville Blades were a terrific, experienced, talented and strong team but it just was not in the cards for them.
Looking back to the series, it might have been game one. That one they should have won but Shawn Sirman stole it for the Vees.
Sometimes a missed opportunity like that can lead to not ever recovering.

The Blades made a great run to the return to the finals after winning back to back 7 game series. They deserve a ton of credit just getting as far as they did. You can second guess the coach all you want, but the fact of the matter is they did what 34 (?) other teams did not do and they did the exact same thing that 34(?) did not do last year. Heck of a season for a heck of an organization.

The difference in the series IMO, was in the defense and goal tending.
Hache played well but one must think that maybe he came back early from his concussion.
I believe the Blades outshot the Vees by a good margin.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Congrats to the Vees.
I must take one last shot.--
