..this is good hockey, the arena is basic but bright and the fans deserve this success after so many seasons spent looking up at the other teams. Red Wings fans will be familiar with Jordan Gignac and Mike McNamara played a few games for them in the 2007-8 season and the name Dunsmuir will be familiar too- this time the 19 year old forward Shawn. Joel Steeves played a full season for the Wings in '07-'08. Two Ruberto's are available for the price of one in the forms of David and Marcus.

Top-scoring forward Andrew Dovey has played a number of games for the Burlington Cougars. Bluleiner Kevin Rebelo suited up for Milton. Forward Patrick Marsh has played for the Derbys and Icehawks. Forward Jake Guindon played for the Cougars as well as the Sarnia Sting. Hamilton-born Peter Mrksic played for Wexford, Georgetown, Toronto Junior Canadiens and the Owen Sound Attack.

Local flavour as far as ownership and coaching as well.... Van Kleef is a well known name in the Hamilton rinks... now as an owner and Ron brings in a Stanley Cup winner in Hamiltonian Ric Nattress to coach this group. A great year indeed... keep it going boys.

This is very good well played hockey. Wings fans haven't seen hockey like this in a while. Former wing Johnny Szasz plays for Brantford and the Golden Eagles also have Alex Szczechura brother of Paul Szczechura of the Tampa Bay Lighting. Alex has been lighting it up in the playoffs with 27 goals and 20 assists in 16 games. Stoney Creek's goaltender has been hot and had a 1.67 gaa in 15 games and in this round robin his gaa is .67 This Oakville native has stepped up in the playoffs and has been rumored to be headed to the Blades next year.Saturday nights game @ the Dundas arena will give the fans a little more room but it will be packed with both Brantford and Stoney Creek fans. With Brantford looking to revenge last weeks 5-0 loss and needing to win to make the Sutherland Cup Final it should be a great game. Game time is 7pm @ the Market street Arena in Dundas.

Brantford beat Sarnia tonight 4-2. If Brantford beats Stoney Creek they are in the Sutherland Cup against Stoney Creek. If they lose on Saturday they will play Sarnia on Monday night in Stoney Creek to see who will be in the final vs Stoney Creek.
