The Villanova Knights would like to announce the acquisition of David Jenkins from the Ajax Attack. Jenkins finished last year 16 and 7 with a 3.27 GAA and .904 Save percentage. Knights General Manger Barry Rice is very pleased to add Jenkins, saying, Jenkins will add experience and character to the Villanova Knights.

I think the Coaches and GM better get ready for a very bad room this year with Jenkins on board, its me and no one else play me or trade me!!!!...he is a 20 yr old does not care about the young kids on that team like the Ajax Attack players that tried to support him and his family period!!

I agree with everthing that Starbuck has said your room will be crap in the 2009-2010 season, thought you and your club wanted to move up in the standings not down to the lonely basement of this as they call the OPJHL.

Hope you did not give up the FARM on Jenkins your savoir!

Starbuck2010, just a guess, you are not a Jenkins fan.
You may be correct about Jenkins, but Villanova will likely make the playoffs while Ajax will drop back to their normal outside looking in come OP '10 Playoff.

Thankyou to the Steins (Starbuck2010) for your thoughts on Jenkins.

Now the truth: Jenkins is one of the nicest kids you will ever meet and a very solid goalie as well.

Not at all Wexdog Jenkins is a good goalie but needs to grow up in the sport of hockey, and not think he could be the biggest thing since toast on a single hockey club thats all!

How was he a problem in the room? Split the games with Stein and stayed all season. Was clearly the better goalie and Ajax was clearly a better team with him in net. Maybe there was good reason to be frustrated which might lead to problems. I would guess more players then Jenkins were frustrated. Perhaps he is not a problem at all, with the real problem being the environment that surrounds Ajax. Just wondering.

Very short and simple...JENKINS will struggle with Villanova this year and that is a 100% fact, if you really want to be part of a team..... play as a team member, not a back stabber as you will all see in VILLY LAND this year!!!!

Let me guess, platoon raider & starbuck are one & the same. Are you related to Stein or just nuts?

Great acquisition by Villanova. A legitimate # 1 goalie that kept Ajax from the toilet.

Now I guess Stein has made room for his kid to be the star attraction. What a knob.

Anyone that attends Ajax rookie camp is either desperate or just severely unaware.

Have fun in the Super Central boys.

to have put up with what he did last year speaks volumes about the kid! the ajax goalie/owner b.s. is about as bad as anything could be in junior hockey. the insult of the second round this year with stein and his kid in the net was a travesty. the players on that team are nuts if they go back. so are the coaches and gm. six skaters would be better!!!!

Get real!

"Playing" in the OHL. Oh yea lots of that.

Explain to me how Kingston drafted him when he wasn't even being played in Minor Midget hockey.

Oh no need for that, I know the connection with Kingston already.

Speaking of an A$$

Ottawa gave up a 13th round draft pick. In other words, nothing. Springer will just sell that to some other parent that wants to buy a draft spot.

4 min 53 sec 4 shots, 3 saves, 1 goal = .750 SV% & 12.29 GAA

Gee, it sounds like Ajax.

Maybe Stein became best buddies with Toffoli's son during his short trip to Ottawa.

as a team member of the attack last year but hopefully not this year I can tell you Jenkins was an awesome teammate. He had every reason to bitch and I never heard a word. As for Adam he is a great kid as well. If he played for a different team that his dad did not own he would probably be better off. We are in trouble this year and I am hoping to be moved.
Ps. Just for your info. Adam played in exactly 4 minutes in the ohm and sat on the bench for a few games. The only reason he was called up was due to injury with no other call up options. Be careful dustin or Adam and be nice your not helping the situation

starbuck you make me laugh keep posting crap it is humorous. Mr. Stein both your kids are not very good get over it you cant buy their way through life. Jenkins is a good goalie and way better now than Stein can ever be.Jenkins made that team competitive. As far as the OHL thing goes I am pretty sure he will not be on an OHL team this year there for he is not wanted by any OHL team. But i guess that is not fair since he has such brillant numbers with ajax. Maybe he can get a GAA under 6 and change this year....just maybe and maybe a save percentage over .840! Sounds like he should be OHL bound to me hah. I am sure this has nothing to do with him bitching too remember Mark D'Alessandro did not come over from villinova for nothing this past year and Joe D'Elia mysteriously disappeared from villinova makes sense doesn't it.

A message to Starbuck.............Having known David and seen the way he handles himself in public hockey circles.........you will not find a nicer and courteous hockey player................even after the hometown Ajax-Pickering Raiders Hockey Association screwed this kid over.............and having to play alongside a AA goalie whose daddy owns the team on the Attack. This kids got class.

Ahh...it is sad that the game has come to this level. Whatever happened to players playing because they deserved it and not due to the wellness of their family.

Talk is cheap...save it for the ice!! I have no affiliation with anything Ajax other than the stuff I use to scrub the grunge off of the ****ter!!

But I remember the previous owner/coach who had very little in the way of hockey knowledge whose son played for the team and whose wife and daughter were apparently the toughest on the team.

Hopefully this move works out for all....as...once you get to this level..you deserve a chance to make your own way!!!

Im sure the Ajax club will carry on hockey operations to the fullest, may it be better or worst but they will strive to keep Jr.A hockey in Ajax for years to come....Rome was not built in a day players come and go thats what makes room for others with maybe better talent that those that left or wanted out.

Thats true life!

I agree with SCRABBLE01 give these Owners a break without them and their hard earned money, you would not have clubs after Midget AAA to carry your kid to the next level GROW UP!

If you have it spend it, if you dont... you have nothing to say what others do with theirs correct.

I thank you all!

if the kids of these owners were legit players they wouldn't need daddy to buy a team for them to play on!!!!! they have had daddy owned or leased teams since bloody peewee.
try out for a team and make it on your own!!!!!

Hey Ajax guys, remember this thread?

Presently Villanova sits in 2nd place. A few big changes in the offseason, new management, new dedicated coaches & a few new aquistions. The most dramatic change in my view is their goaltending.

Jenkins is now 4-1, the loss he had was against Georgetown where he allowed 3 goals in 51 shots & is sporting a .930 save %.

Congratulations to David Jenkins and the Villanova Knights. To David for his perseverance in hockey and for being a great person. To Villanova for making the right moves and turning the titanic(not Paul or David) full circle from the circus they had previously. The Ajax Attack,Whitby Fury and Pickering Panthers could all learn from the Villanova experience.
