Best lighting agree Kingston/Bowmanville also Georgetown & Newmarket,as for Ajax the games would be better played on an outside rink at 2:00pm just terrible in there for games!

Whitby has decent lighting. It's not a Jr. A rink anymore, because the Fury left there for Whitby, but Campus Ice in north Oshawa, where we play the MEJHL games every Sunday night in the summer, is the worst I've seen. It's not the interior lighting necessarily, it's the fact that one end is drenched in patches of blinding sunlight through the windows for about an hour at sunset. A guy gets a clear shot from the slot, and the goalie literally cannot see the puck...it's like a free screen.

I haven't been to durham college's rink, but I remember the same kind of situation at Barrie's Molson center until they started using the curtain...natural light has no place in a hockey rink.....lol
