SHARPIE EXPOSED!!!!!

if you see sharpies messages in the thread started by kev(open question for all forum users) you will see sharpie state that in his opinion no parents should be allowed to own teams..now he's working for ajax!!!
then he says that owners should own two teams and one would be of a lower level to feed the big team. he suggests that pickering would use the ajax team as their farm team!!
i wonder if he mentioned that idea to stein when he interviewed for his job with the farm team...ajax!!

I don't think that my HYPOTHETICAL thoughts on a system that might benefit the league as a whole has any bearing on my employment with the Attack. And I have never EVER said that a parent shouldn't own a team. What I have said is that the only way to prevent parent-owners would be for the league to mandate that a team owner may not have his own kid playing on the team.

However, you don't think it would be a good idea for Mr. Stein to own two teams, and combine the best players of each onto one team and develop the others? Hypothetically speaking, I think it would be a solid business model, if the league allowed such a thing. It certainly is something I would think about if I had the money and was in the market to buy a team.

Anyways, nice attempt at spinning my words there, wingfan. However...if Mr. Stein or anybody else in Ajax asks, I would tell them the exact same thing, because I don't hide my opinions behind an alias here on the computer, they aren't a secret to anybody. Like I said, my opinions have no bearing on my employment.

sharpie you said that pickering would be the premier team being fed by developing players in ajax. most people would interpret that as pickering is the better team and would control both. spin now but those were your words....

That exact quote also had the qualifier "for example" attached. I could have just as easily said that Bowmanville could be a feeder team for Whitby, for example. Doesn't mean those are exactly how it would work out, it was AN EXAMPLE, nothing more.

sharpie you said there should be conflict of interest rules that prevent any relative ..parent grandparent aunt uncle sibling or cousin, of a carded player on that team from having any financial interest in that team. that doesn't sound hypothetical to me. it sounds like someone had a very strong principalled opinion that seems to have changed quite a bit.

Why does it have to have changed? I have one opinion, my employer has another. My personal opinion does not affect the work I do for the team, so what is your problem?

Besides, the entire thread was hypothetical in nature, strictly discussing theoretical ideas. To say it wasn't hypothetical is to have missed the point of the entire thread, and taken one quote out of context.

Yes, word for word, fine. Doesn't mean you're applying the context of the entire thread, which was hypothetical in nature. Therefore, you are taking the quote out of context.

Either way, as I have said...

Having an opinion that conflicts with that of my employer does not affect the job I do on behalf of the team, so I don't know what your issue is.

Let me ask you, wingfan...does every single opinion you have coincide with that of your employer?

Sharpie Exposed!!!!!!

Does it really surprise you Wingfan? or anyone else for that matter!!

Sharpie is so "out of it" that even he does not know what comes out of his own mouth. He is like a "weather vane" he turns with the wind when the wind is blowing in the right direction for him.

I await in great anticipation to his "rebuttal" on this one, I'm sure he is at this very moment "gongering" up some "BS" that will be "spinning" so fast that we will not be able to make any sense out of it.

Sharpie, you are getting to be an "embarrassment" to the Ajax organization. Don't unpack your bags as yet.

The only thing I know is that the Ajax players were sick of losing every second game last year and are terrified that the ratio may go up this year.

Cant understand why everyone on this forum is always taking shots at Sharpie,as in regards to him working for the Attack he is in promotions not the GM,so if he wants to have an opinion on certain things in the OJHL as we all do i dont see a problem with that, i for one hope the best for Sharpie with the Attack and also the Fury!

Ok soooo in accordance with the current rule...Sharpie and Wingnut both get 5 for fighting and a game, Wing gets the extra 2 for instigating, and a game suspension, and SMC gets 2 for hitting from behind, and 5 for fighting and a game, and a game suspension for being the third man in.

Thanks, HD, but it's really no big deal. As everybody who knows me will attest, I get a good laugh out of this kind of thing. It astounds me how some people (SMC, wingfan, rippedskates on other threads) have so much free time on their hands and nothing better to do with it. Extremely pathetic, but it amuses the hell out of me.

See, SMC, all you ever prove to me is that $$$ doesn't buy class.

And the reason I can be on so often is because I work from home while taking care of my two autistic kids. So whether you think so or not, I've earned any free time I have, too.

all jokes aside and im not going to get into the personal war going on here but a good public relations person or media representative knows when to and when not to get things or battles in the public or on the internet or whatever.

sharpie right now youre not doing ajax any favours as they try and recruit kids. the team is being dragged into everything online because you are sticking your nose in everything. many parents see that as a huge negative as they dont want their kid on a club that is constant internet fodder. sure every team or coach or player will be mentioned a few times but its every day all day and that is reflecting very poorly on the team.

sometimes no matter how bad or false or whatever is said on here or wherever you need to turn the other cheek and say nothing and let it go away. constantly replying even when defending yourself or a team or a conference only brings the spotlight and with that comes scruinty which can lead to more critism and then doubt by people that would never have it in the first place. in other words it does more harm than good.

have all the personal opinions you want as you have every right to have them we all do. but do the team and the people trying run it a favour and take a huge break from the online chatter and banter. ITS NOT HELPING THE TEAM and thats who your working for.

please put the team first! not yourself.

SUCK YOU IN???????

Every controversial post that Wingfan and I gave our comments on, was started by YOU.

Finally came to your senses did you Sharpie? realizing that you had better support your employer (Ajax) rather than give your own personal opinions on the Forums that made them look bad, sort of "biting" the hand that feeds you.

What happen? did the Ajax management tell you to get off the Forums??

I think Sharpie is just tired of the BS from others on here always trying to twist things he says around, yes you will all come back and say, he said it and we are not twisting things around but you all do.

Sharpie knows his hockey and he has done a great job with Whitby and will also do a great job for Ajax,we should all read what we post and say, as we all look stupid at times not just one forum member,i myself liked alot of posts Sharpie did and remarks from him as he has alot of insight with the OJHL and members of clubs in this league.

Not to worry, HD, I'm still checking in on the forums from time to time. I'm just taking a break from posting because I found myself losing control of how angry I was getting over a few of the ahem "gentlemen" who post on here, and the majority of you, who are just trying to enjoy the forums, have had to suffer my outbursts over it. I apologize for that.

Sharpie QUOTE:

"Won't happen again though, since I am going to leave the Forums. SMC, Wingfan you two win".

Just another "untruthful" comment by the "Sharp one", since he now says he will be back.

How can you take anything that comes out of his mouth as "Gospel" when he has already broken his promise to leave the Forums in less than two weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Sharpie, your "credibility" is slowly being flushed down the "CRAPPER".

"sharpie should be back on here but keep his personal comments to himself. he should be like joe from villanova..announce the good things happening with his team to help promote and make players consider that team."

And that's exactly what I intend to do when I return. And as long as the personal attacks and outright lies against myself and my friends in the game are not made constantly, that is what will happen. However, until those who use the forums antagonistically instead of as a method of communication to discuss hockey either stop doing so or are removed from the forums, my self-imposed break, which has actually turned out to be more of a self-imposed "lessening", will continue.
