One can assume that there are lots of letterhead, website, logo, crest design changes in the works for both "leagues".

Good news will stay, bad news will refuse to leave. Oi

Maybe Marty wants to keep the Dukes winning photo on there as long as possible.

Good one SMC maybe Marty is paying the Central to keep their photo "ALIVE AND WELL" but all aside it would be nice to see the 2009/2010 info and Divisions and Scheds to see for us!

The teams are posted in some other thread, and maybe if I get a few spare minutes later, I will copy them here to answer your question. As for the playoffs, the OJAHL is having an eight team playoff, but playing six extra regular season games, and the Central is having a sixteen team playoff. In the OJAHL, it is all one fifteen-team division, with the top eight teams in the playoffs. In the Central, it is being broken down into one ten-team and one eleven-team division, with the top eight in each division making the playoffs.

Top 8 teams out of 15 make the playoffs. Now that is a league. Every night will be huge. Each point is gong to be key, can't take nights off.

Here we go again, Sharpie and the Central boys getting their "excuse" Ducks in order with the "play more games" scenario, and the season hasn't even started yet.

Don't you just love it!!!!

I don't see it as an excuse at all, since I firmly believe the Central team has as good a shot at winning as the OJAHL representative. It is merely a statement of fact. It's not opinion, it is fact that your side will be playing one playoff series less than the Central. It is also a fact that your side will be playing six extra regular season games. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but don't try to put words in my mouth or paint my post with any intentions other than what they are...a statement of absolute fact.

sharpie i'm really glad you decided to stick with your word and put the team first and stop yapping on the internet!

jesus buddy do us a favour and SHUT UP!

dont give parents a reason to keep their kids away from our squad because our timekeeper spends all day on the internet.

and if you think i'm a bunch of hot air, i received the written permission for my son to skate with another team and try out. ajax is home but you're making the team look bush league.

"cedarhouse"

You are right it's "jealousy" (insert laugh track here)

Cedarhouse, go to the new Tiger's website, at the top it says:

"WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE 2004 AND 2007 RBC CHAMPIONS"

What does it say on the Duke's website?

Give your head a shake, the Dukes will never accomplish or even come close to the Tiger's winning history, expecially now that they are entrenched in the weak Central Division. The Dukes can forget about ever making it to the RBC again.

"Mark"

Are you referring to "Sharpie" as the Ajax timekeeper??

I thought he was in charge of promotions, a timekeeper you say?

Has "Sharpie" been demoted already?

Timekeeper is about one-tenth correct.

MM, I am not hard to find, e-mail me any concerns you have. I'm always happy to discuss things with people directly.

Or, phone me. My cell phone number is posted elsewhere on these forums. Like I said, I'm not hard to find.

I can vouch for Sharpie. Not only is he the Attack timekeeper but he's probally the best timekeeper in the league. He will not give out phantom points to assnt coaches kids nor will he reduce the gaa for certain goalies.
Sharpie's motto is and always has been.............NO PHANTOM POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the Dukes are not living in the past, they are not proud of their history and winning ways?? That's all their fans talk about.

Aurora is also proud of being THE ONLY team from Ontario to win an RBC, not one but TWO. Only two other teams have won an RBC in Eastern Canada and they are both in Nova Scotia.

Also Camron, 2004 and 2007 is not exactly living in the past, the last time the Leafs won a Stanley Cup in 1967, now that's living in the past.

RS, I wouldn't say the best. I think I am good at what I do, which is why I've been at it so long and get paid well for it. But the best? I am sure lots of teams have very good timekeepers.

My value lies in also doing the Pointstreak and the announcing, which not a lot of people can do.

However, you are right. I do not award phantom points. I never input a goal or an assist when asked to by a player, coach, assistant coach, GM, or owner. The only person who I will ever add or change a goal or assist for is one of the two referees. I've been told by players and coaches that I am being anal about it, and maybe I am, but it is something I have been doing for twelve years, and personally I consider it a matter of integrity and it is something I take pride in.

Thanks for noticing.

You will do what you are told or you will be fired like all the coaches,GM's , assistant coaches,Directors of Hockey Operations and all the other guys who didn't do what they were told. If you would like the list of names ask around or I could supply it to you. The coach is only there because he does what he is told. Either get used to it or you will be gone too. Sad but true.

You obviously don't grasp how strongly I believe in not giving out phantom points. You are talking to the man who, when Michael Boyer was owner of the Panthers, was approached by Mr. Boyer to change an assist in the middle of a period.

The conversation went something like this.

BOYER: "I need you to add an assist on the third goal."

SHARP: "I can't do that. Only the referee can."

BOYER: "The referee's not the one paying you to write numbers down on a sheet of paper."

SHARP: "You want the assist added? Here's the game sheet. Here's the clock. I'm done."

Sharp walks away from timekeeper's booth, leaving the clock running as the game continues.

BOYER: "Get back here."

SHARP: "No thanks. You don't pay me enough. Run it yourself."

I stuck around the rink. At the end of the period, Boyer had an apology and a raise offer for me.

Integrity means more to me than a job, bottom line.

Greggy says to Sharpie,

"I have a feeling your integrity is going to be challenged. Good Luck."

Greg, Mr Stein will not put pressure on Sharpie to pad stats, even though Mr Stein is known to open the pocket book at every turn to pursue his wild dreams of hockey immortality for his offspring. Everyone who knows Sharpie knows that Sharpie would just tell him to shove it. The coaches, thats another story.
