The OSHL was a league made up by Randy Gumbley, in response to the NHL lock-out back in 2004. It made a great attempt at substituting for the NHL but only last a short period of time, unfortunately. My job was to assist Randy G. in the marketing aspect of the company: pricing, product, promotions, and location. This was a great experience for me in developing a marketing sense.
Royal Bank Cup
Royal Bank Cup (RBC) is a tournament held yearly, where the best teams in Canada and the USA come to meet for a month a straight hockey to fight for the RBC trophy. I was responsible for managing a group of teams that were selling RBC and Streetsville Derby merchandise. I had to choose the pricing of the products, as well as discount, promotions, marketing communication, team members, and the locations. It was also my job to control the environment and keep my section organized and running smoothly.
