Re: "I thought this site was professional and should be" ...... where the hell did you ever get that idea "POWOW"? lol

Just kidding with you! With all sincerity and utmost appreciation, I certainly DO hope that the Beehives will return to their storied past and rich heritage! It's a shame that with the recent trend of "daddy come love me ownerships" that a few more teams don't recognize the value of embracing their pasts!

Gone with those cherished memories are the dedicated volunteers who have been replaced with (in some cases) half assed, compensated personnel whose primary purpose is to kiss the hinnies of the person handing them a pay cheque!

This site is monitored (not professionaly however, lol) to maintain a degree of integrity, utmost honesty and hopefully respect for one another! In fact POWOW, I had gone so far as to request nothing more than a league pass from the OHA as a way to follow teams that I otherwise wouldn't have an opportunity to see!

It's not that I require handouts believe me! It's more of a token of appreciation for the endorsement that this forum affords the league and its affiliate teams. I have NEVER had a problem with this brand/level of hockey POWOW, in fact the exact opposite is true! This is my favorite (more than the pros) brand of hockey and my favorite league! Why else would I be hosting a site (throughout the past 6 years) whose content is specifically catered to the OHA?

In fact POWOW, earlier this year and late last year when I was working in London (which I "MAY" be returning to in the next couple of weeks) I went to take in a couple of OHL games at the John Labatt Center in London, and I much preferred the London Nationals Junior 'B' over the more "ELITE" OHL!

But honestly, the OHA is and always has been my favorite league! It's a shame that the league executives don't realize that many of "US" convey far more passion for their product than they do!!!! All I had ever requested for my time, commitment and expense (yes expense, there is NOTHING to be made from these forums believe me, registration at our current participation levels requires a fee from both the participants and the ad banner companies) was a simple league pass to take in more games!

I wasn't even afforded a "GET LOST" reply! Nothing! Nadda! Now I ask you was I out of line for making such an unreasonable request?

Again I applaud your organizations commitment to "DO IT RIGHT"! Please don't confuse a participants opinions/submissions with us disrespecting the Beehives in any way! We "MUST" be very careful not to suppress the passions of the fans! To do so would turn "our" humble, little forum of 6 1/2 years and nearly 4.5 million hits into a site comparable to the bandit sites out there!

That's why it has been imperative that I take the liberty of breaking my anonymity, in order that people such as yourself can feel comfortable posting submissions here, I trust that you understand POWOW?

Many executives throughout this exciting league have posted (with logins such as POWOW) and have since conveyed with me directly via e-mail, thus revealing their identity! To this day I have NEVER broken their anonymity on this or any other site, as to do so would only breach their trust and decline our participation, a NO win situation for all of us!

If you would like to drop me a line at thayward13@cogeco.ca I will be only too pleased to communicate with you beyond the boundaries of this forum. I will "ALWAYS" respect the inputs of anyone affiliated with any organization within this league and will "ALWAYS" respect the disclosure of such personnel!

Oh, and finally "POWOW", if you communicate with any of the OHA executives, can you please enquire as to what it takes to obtain a press/media/executive pass for someone who truly cares about their league? Thanks!

I think your Tigerpaws forum is as valuable to the promotion of their league, as any of their own initiates have been!

If they don't provide you with a press pass, then who ever's in-charge is a joke.
