what are teams charging for the exhibition games?

charging for exhibition games is just wrong. they should be free.

often you see only two officials on the ice. several players who the teams are not at the junior level and the team knows will not make any junior squad but the aaa midget teams wants a look at them at the junior level. often there is no game day production or anything.

pre-season games should be FREE! if not i'd cap it at a $2 for the parents that show up. that will cover a bit of the cost. but charging a full or even half rate for these games is just grabbing at the parents wallets. because save for a few others thats the only people in the stands in most arenas.

any pre-season games i've seen have always had the full compliment of officials. these games are sanctioned by the oha and suspensions transfer to the regular season so i don't know why you would not have proper officiating unless it is an inter squad game.
i agree the 1st few pre-season games are not jrA quality and are part of a teams operating expense. games i've been to sell 50/50 tickets and sometimes collect food donations and/or money for charity.
