Veterans Zach Blake and Jeremy Franklin gave the Dukes of Wellington a 2-0 bulge in the first but Evan Haney with his first of the campaign got the Wings on the board late in the second. Blake's second in the game's dying minutes was a big one, however the 'home' team would reply on a powerplay goal from defenceman Chris Williams to cut Wellington's lead to one at 3-2 but that was all that was written for the Wings as Jared Saunders scored into the empty net to give the Dukes the two points.

The Red Wings look to get to the .500 mark for the season as they travel to North York tomorrow afternoon and then host Dale Hawerchuk and the Orangeville Crushers at the Dave on Monday night.

Very efficiant 3rd period for the Dukes, 2 shots, 2 goals, can't get much better than that.
