Friday night at the hockey games...

A squeaker for the number one Hurricanes as they got by the Crushers 2-1 in Orangeville. Joel Hanley's unassisted powerplay goal in the middle of the second period proved to be the game winner.

Daniel Ciampini netted a natural hat trick as the Buzzers bossed the Attack 5-2. St. Mike's got the advantage by scoring four times in the second frame.

The Fury pulled off an upset in Markham winning 5-4 in a shootout. Whitby led 3-1 in the second but goals thirteen seconds apart by Massimo Lamacchia and Jamie Kendra got the home team back in the game. Kendra had two for the Waxers and Dillan fox two for Whitby. Eight players were featured in the shootout with only Fury's Dylan O'Neil scoring. O'Neil had forced extra time with a late third period goal.

A shootout also in Peterborough and this time the home side won 3-2 over the Spirit. Troy Barss was the only shootout scorer.

Another loss for Cobourg but it was a close one as they went down 3-2 in Wellington. Max Bobrow had the winner late in the second period.

The Muskies overcame the Panthers 5-3 in Pickering. Blake Sexton had two goals and three points for Lindsay. Josh Dadic had two for Pickering.

Kingston are now 13-0 beating the Otters 5-2 in Huntsville. Adam Pyymaki had a pair.

The Patriots of Upper Canada took a home shootout win 5-4 over North York. Matt Galati had two and the shootout winner and Jacob Mooney found the net twice for the Rangers.

The Raiders soldier on edging the Tigers in a shootout 4-3. Justin Basso had two in regulation and the shootout winner.

Villanova set back Brampton 3-1 with Chris Lochner getting the game winner. Alex Guptill spoiled Allister Whyte's shutout bid by scoring in the last minute.

The Vipers upset the Terriers 5-2 in Couchiching. Chris Christiani and Phil Marinaccio scored twice each.

The Blades took it on the chin in Trenton going down 8-4 to the Golden Hawks. Brad Gehl, Jeremie Gauthier and Cole Sheehan each tallied twice for the home team.

The Chargers doubled Milton 6-3. Ex-IceHawk Mac Whalen had two goals.

Buffalo doubled Collingwood 4-2. Garrett Moore scored twice for the Sabres.
